Greetings, using xen 4.0.1, I need to connect an usb devive to an OpenSuse-11.3 PV guest. On the host (OpenSuse-11.3), lsusb shows: Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:0020 Bus 001 Device 004: ID 13fe:5200 Kingston Technology Company Inc. ... The usb device on the host is /media/sde1 Under /media/KINGSTON I find the usb files. Now I added usb = 1 usbdevice = "host:13fe:5200" to the guest config file and started the vm. However, on the guest I do not find a file under /media/. Trying to ad usb manually I get an error: xm usb-add MyGuest host:13fe:5200 Error: Can''t add usb device to a guest with usb disabled in configure file Usage: xm usb-add <domain> <[host:bus.addr] [host:vendor_id:product_id]> Add the usb device to FV VM. It says "usb is disabled in configure file", so does this mean that usb = 1 in the guest congfig file is not working or is wrong? Any help would be very much appreciated. Wolf

Never done it on a PV guest myself, this is the best reference a quick search gave me: http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_USB_Passthrough Good luck.
