Hi all, I just downloaded Xen 3.3 and had a try. Everything was OK except that after I boot dom0, the output of ifconfig is different from Xen 3.1. In Xen 3.1 you have xenbr0 and vif0.0 But in Xen 3.3 I only got peth0 without vif and xenbr. I looked at the script network-bridge, found that it has been changed from the script from Xen 3.1. Is it normal? I mean without xenbr? Thanks in advance, Jia. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
Yes, it is normal not to have xenbr, as in the bridge creation, the physical eth0 gets renamed to peth0, and the bridge is created as eth0. I believe the intention of this change is to avoid any other apps that referenced eth0 having to be reconfigured. But are you saying that you don''t have an eth0 anymore? If so, the bridge creation script didn''t complete properly... Jia Rao wrote:> Hi all, > > I just downloaded Xen 3.3 and had a try. Yes, I have eth0, then there is no problem now. BTW, in a domU configuration, I need to specify "bridge=xenbr0" before. Should I use "bridge=eth0" in Xen 3.3? Thanks very much, Jia.
