[Xen-users] Keyboard frozen at login screen w/ Xen 3.0.2
I am trying to boot the Xen kernel in Gentoo after having followed the instructions found at http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Xen_and_Gentoo. I am using a Dell Latitude D820 laptop with BIOS version A4. I''ve tried enabling and disabling the Intel VMX extensions, and I''ve tried setting RC_NET_STRICT_CHECKING in /etc/conf.d/rc to "lo", but all to no avail. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can fix this? Thank you, Jeff _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Re: [Xen-users] Keyboard frozen at login screen w/ Xen 3.0.2
I fixed the problem! Turns out in the Xen kernel the menuconfig "AT Keyboard" option in Device Drivers->Input Devices->Keyboard can be set explicitly. In the standard Gentoo kernel, this option is implicit and cannot be set through menuconfig. This option corresponds to the setting CONFIG_KEYBOARD_ATKBD=y in the .config file. -Jeff On 3/15/07, Petersson, Mats <Mats.Petersson@amd.com> wrote:> > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: xen-users-bounces@lists.xensource.com > > [mailto: xen-users-bounces@lists.xensource.com] On Behalf Of > > azurskye@gmail.com > > Sent: 14 March 2007 20:30 > > To: xen-users@lists.xensource.com > > Subject: [Xen-users] Keyboard frozen at login screen w/ Xen 3.0.2 > > > > I am trying to boot the Xen kernel in Gentoo after having > > followed the instructions found at > > http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Xen_and_Gentoo.
