[Xen-users] Windows HVM guest and SMP support with xen v3.0.3 ?
In order to know if I really need to try to build XEN v3.0.4 for a production server using until now the xen v3.0.3 debian package with kernel 2.6.18-4-xen-686 and PAE, I would like to know if someone succeed to run Windows XP or 2003 HVM guest with SMP support with intel-VT. If it is, could you please tell me how did you do ? Franck _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

It''s not so much that it doesn''t work to run SMP guests, but rather that the tools don''t allow the information about number of processors to be transferred from the configuration file to the guest itself. -- Mats> > Franck > > > > _______________________________________________ > Xen-users mailing list > Xen-users@lists.xensource.com > http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users > > >_______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

We have a Linux (RH 7.2) HVM with SMP. It sees all of the CPUs (currently 2, but we''ve tried with 4 and 8) assigned to it. Our Xen is 3.0.3 (Fedora Core 6) - -Karl -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFF6HJTr6qWhNgoahURAgPOAKCDcSft8rxEEQOV+EeUDN2TXu5rSQCgyRxD RTR3v8w6RxYJaTOAUBGTGXk=g0ag -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- __ This communication is intended for the use of the recipient to whom it is addressed, and may contain confidential, personal, and or privileged information.
