[Xen-devel] [SPAM] XCP: vm-import failed on xcp 0.5rc1
hi, i tried to do vm-import on xcp 0.5rc1 but no luck. i remember that i imported this xva file successfully on xcp 0.1.1. is there an incompatibility between these versions? the attached file is the output of "grep -C16 470d3a5f7dd9 /var/log/xensource.log". Hi, It looks like it failed here: [20100705T07:02:03.486Z|debug|s1|852 inet-RPC|VM import R:470d3a5f7dd9|backtrace] Raised at aPI.ml:690.193-256 -> import.ml:142.18-45 -> list.ml:69.12-15 -> list.ml:69.12-15 -> import.ml:558.4-31 [20100705T07:02:03.486Z|error|s1|852 inet-RPC|VM import R:470d3a5f7dd9|import] Caught exception in import: FIELD_TYPE_ERROR: [ ] aPI.ml:690 is trying to read the field VM.bios_strings. Could you untar the "ova.xml" file from your xva and send it to me? tar -xvf CentOS53x64-1.xva ova.xml -- should do the trick.
