In 1.1.5 the sound/music in games played allright. Since 1.1.6 it skips badly - plays for a couple of seconds, then stops for half a second, then plays again, then skips and so on. Happens on every game on Steam - Team Fortress 2, Everyday Shooter, Peggle Extreme - and also without Steam - Icy Tower. I have Razer Barracuda AC-1 sound card. I've found that in Winecfg when I choose Alsa driver it says "HDA Intel" under the Mixers, instead of C-Media CMI8788 (which is the name of the chipset). I guess HDA Intel is the sound card chipset built into my motherboard. Does anyone have similar problems? How can I fix it? I tried uninstalling PulseAudio, but then I had no sound at all. (I'm on Ubuntu 8.04.)

Doing it right now ;-)
Haven't run testing yet but will do so, just sounding in (no pun intended). I am having the same sound issue with Wine 1.1.6. I've only played two games since updating and both do this - City of Heroes/Villans and WoW. info: -Ubuntu Hardy, 32 bit (running on 64 bit processor) -built into mainboard sound, no additional sound cards -sound in both games worked fine previous to update with same wine.cfg settings -system sound not through wine works fine -sound in wine works fine for both ventrilo and teamspeak -sound in WoW built in voice chat does not work - stutters same as game sound effects and music. Haham looks like somebody was faster than me an my bug was closed as duplicate ;-) But still, how can I add author of the commit to CC? I get this error: "Bugzilla was unable to make any match at all for one or more of the names and/or email addresses you entered on the previous page. Please go back and try other names or email addresses. CC: maarten at codeweavers.com did not match anything"
