Hi everyone, This is my first post to the list, and I'm not too experienced with wine, so please excuse my ignorance. I've tried to install a pc suite for my sony ecrisson phone. Its called MyPhoneExplorer[1]. First of all I attempted to install the latest version 1.4.5. That bombs fairly quickly with the following message: wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000001 at address 0x10061409 (thread 000c), starting debugger... WineDbg starting on pid 0x8 Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x00000001 in 32-bit code (0x10061409). err:dbghelp_msc:codeview_process_info Unknown CODEVIEW signature 04C48310 in module sport [snipped large trace info] So, not to worry I'll try an older version. Next I tried version 1.3.3 of the software. I had to install Visual basic runtimes and override oleaut32.dll to start with. The next problem after that looks like this: [snipped lots of fixmes] err:syslevel:_CheckNotSysLevel Holding lock 0x605febc0 level 3 wine: Unhandled exception 0x80000003 at address 0x6039ce84 (thread 0014), starting debugger... I don't know what phone model you have but I am a long time Sony Ericsson owner and these phones work very well with native linux application. I'm syncing my contacts, calendar with my phones and exchanging files over bluetooth and USB without any problem (it works much better than on Windows I must say). Regards. To transfer files you can use Bluetooth (Obex) or USB C?ble (recognized as an USB Mass storage) Good luck, Jonathan -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
