Hi people. When I try to install MDAC on Wine, I get the following error: Installation of Microsoft Data Access Components package failed. (-1) I'm using RH 9 with wine-20030618. I've already installed DCOM98 and IE6. I'm running the setup of SQL Server 2000 CD, but if I download the MDAC setup alone, it fails too. Any ideas? Thanks. Yahoo! Once I've installed normally the BDE on Wine. Then I need to uninstall it by the wine uninstaller, and after this, when I try to reinstall, it says that some program is using BDE and I must close it to proceed with the install. Using ps -ax | grep wine, I don't see nothing that uses BDE. I reinstall Wine, and the problem continues! I'm using wine-20030618 with RH9. Why this happen if I've already installed BDE one time without problems? What the wine uninstaller did? Any ideas? Thanks. ______________________________________________________________________ Yahoo! Mail: 6MB, anti-spam e antiv?rus gratuito! Crie sua conta agora: http://mail.yahoo.com.br
I've seen at www.winehq.com that Wine can also be used to make existing Windows applications available on the Web by using VNC and its Java client. Has anyone had tested this? Where can I find more information about this? Thanks. ______________________________________________________________________ Yahoo! Mail: 6MB, anti-spam e antiv?rus gratuito!
