reading an image and adding a legend

type III effect from glm()

Weights in bagged regression trees
Has anyone any experience of applying observational weights in bagging? I am performing regression trees (continuous data on bird abundance) and need to account for sampling intensity. In a single tree, i.e. a call of rpart, I can specify weights either by having a separate vector called weights, or by a variable called weights in the dataframe under analysis. Prediction accuracy from Bagging with continuous data

biplots for PCA
Hi all I have produced a biplot for a PCA (see attached pdf) that I ran however the names of the variables which are placed at the end of the arrows overlap and are thus unreadable. Nested anovas in R not doing what they ought to...
Hi, there I first sent this e-mail a couple months ago, to no avail.Since I am not a member on your mailing list, so could you please cc: a response to me? I'll be sure to check the list today for replies. I am currently attempting to perform an ANOVA with both nested and normal factors. My problem is that R is treating my nested factors the exact same way as it would interaction terms.
