Get the Uniqueid of Action Originate in the AMI
Hi to all. I'm begin a use the AMI and i have the need to get the uniqueid from the call i have generate using the Action Originate. Anyone can help me? When I generate these commands: action: Originate channel: SIP/101 application: Dial data: SIP/100,120,Ttr The only response I get when the call is answered, is this: Response: Success Message: Originate successfully queued Thanks a

trellis plot
Hi everyone, I am just trying to figure out how to do a xyplot where in addition to dots and lines I can change dots' colors according to an individual variable (e.g., marital disruption across time, a dummy 0/1). When I use "groups" specification (see below), I get two different lines for each individual based on groups, and what I want is to get one line connecting dots, and

Integration in R
Dear R-users, I am facing problem with integrating in R a likelihood function which is a function of four parameters. It's giving me the result at the end but taking more than half an hour to run. I'm wondering is there any other efficient way deal with. The following is my code. I am ready to provide any other description of my function if you need to move forward.

fitting models with the subset argument
Hi all, I'd like to fit model where the terms both are in the data.frame, mydata say, and are vectors *not in the data.frame*. >obj<-glm(y~x, data=mydata) #works >Z<-pmax(mydata$x-20,0) >(length(Z)==length(obj$y)) >[1] TRUE >update(obj,.~.+Z) #works However for some subset it doesn't works: >obj<-glm(y~x, data=mydata, subset=f==1) #works

Problem w/ axis and distortion in a plotting function
I have a function for plotting soil texture that I am having a problem with. The function is: plot.psd <- function(sand, clay, ...) { conv.ter <- function(x, y) { x.con <- 100 - x - y*cos(1/3*pi) y.con <- y*sin(1/3*pi) data.frame(x=x.con, y=y.con) } plot(conv.ter(sand, clay), xlim = c(0,100), ylim = c(0,100*sin(1/3*pi)), axes = FALSE, xlab="",

how to estimate parameters of multimodal distribution
Dear all Please, is there any function or package for dealing with multimodal distributions? I try to fit multimodal distribution or more precisely to find out mixture of normal distributions which can lead to my actual data. I use optim to find (in that case) two parameters but what I want is to let the function find out arbitrary number of normal distributions underlaying my actual data

training svm's with probability flag
Hi- I'm seeing some weirdness with svm and tune.svm that I can't figure out- was wondering if anyone else has seen this? Perhaps I'm failing to make something the expected class? Below is my repro case, though it *sometimes* doesn't repro. I'm using R2.3.1 on WindowsXP. I was also seeing it happen with R2.1.1 and have seen it on 2 different machines. data(iris) attach(iris)

Frequency table
This must be FAQ, but I can't find it in archives or with a site search. I am trying to construct a frequency table. I guess this should be done with table. Or perhaps factor and split. Or prop.table. cut? findInterval? Argh! Please correct me if what I am looking for is not called a "frequency table". Perhaps it's called grouped data. > zz$x9 [1] 65 70 85 65 65 65 62 55

reshaping a dataset
Hi, I'm trying to move to R the last few data handling routines I was performing in SAS. I'm working on stomach content data. In the simplified example I provide below, there are variables describing the origin of each prey item (nbpc is a ship number, each ship may have been used on different trips, each trip has stations, and individual fish (tagno) can be caught at each

3D scatterplot, using size of symbols for the fourth variable
Dear R fans, I would like to create a scatterplot showing the relationship between 4 continuous variables. I thought of using the package "scatterplot 3d" to have a 3-dimensional plot and then using the size of the symbols to represent the 4th variable. Does anybody know how to do this? I already tried to create this graph using the colour of the symbols, but I was unable to generate

how to get r-squared for a predefined curve or function with "other" data points
hello mailing list! i still consider myself an R beginner, so please bear with me if my questions seems strange. i'm in the field of biology, and have done consecutive hydraulic conductivity measurements in three parallels ("Sample"), resulting in three sets of conductivity values ("PLC" for percent loss of conductivity, relative to 100%) at multiple pressures

Outliers in Binary Logistic Regressions
Hallo folks, I know I should not ask the same question again. But I have a problem I cannot solve and without the solution I am stuck and lost, unable to get along with my work! Someone suggested I should try the code below in order to eliminate the outliers from my data. I did as I was told, but I got a negative reply. The code did not function. I am including it here so that, if possible,

XHCI umass support breaks between r248085 and r252560 on 9-STABLE
Three different external hard drives (Seagate, Western Digital and noname USB 3.0 enclosure) refused to be recognized as the umass devices. Reverting /usr/src/sys/dev/bsd/controller to r248085, building and loading just xhci module makes drives appear again. Below are snippets from the log in both cases: Non working: Jul 4 14:35:17 twinhead kernel: xhci0: <XHCI (generic) USB 3.0

flac-1.1.1 completely broken on linux/ppc and on macosx if built with the standard toolchain (not xcode)
Sadly the latest optimization broke completely everything. The asm code isn't gas compliant. the libFLAC linker script has a typo, disabling the asm optimization and/or altivec won't let a correct build anyway. Instant fixes for the asm stuff: sed -i -e"s:;:\#:" on the lpc_asm.s to load address instead of addis+ori you could use lis and la and PLEASE use the @l(register)
