problem with postscript output of R-devel on Windows
I have developed a problem with the postscript output of plot on Windows. My code still works properly with R 2.3 but, with R 2.4, the white text on red background does not show up. It does, however, show up when output is sent to the screen. Below is my code and sessionInfo. Rgraphviz: How to control the colours of edges in a graph
Using Rgraphviz, I draw the undirected graph with vertices A,B,C and D and edges A:B, B:C, C:D, D:A, A:C. I want the vertices A and B to be red and C and D to be blue. The problem is the following: I want the edges A:B and B:C to be green and the edges C:D and C:A to be yellow, while the edge A:C can have the default colour black. I assume that I have to specify this using the edgeAttrs-argument

Matrix vignette error in June 24 RC
I am getting the following problem with make check-all on the June 24 rc. I realize I could probably fix it by installing/setting a path to the sty file, but I don't remember having to do that for make check-all in the past. Graph visualization
Hello, I am working with graph and adjacency matrix, the package 'graph' seems to be appropriate for this. An example in the package > mat <- rbind(c(0, 0, 1, 1), + c(0, 0, 1, 1), + c(1, 1, 0, 1), + c(1, 1, 1, 0)) > rownames(mat) <- colnames(mat) <- letters[1:4] > graph1 <- new("graphAM", adjMat=mat) > graph1 A

drawing the graph with many nodes
Good morning, I'm trying to draw a graph, and I'm using the following code. test.matrix<-read.table("~/Desktop/Results/testgephi.csv", header = T, sep=",") colnames(test.matrix) <- gsub("X", "", colnames(test.matrix)) #drop first column drops <- c("") test.matrix<-test.matrix[,!(names(test.matrix) %in% drops)] test.matrix

Memory leak using Rgraphviz
I'm running an Ubuntu 10.04 system and installed R 2.10.1 through the package manger. I then installed Rgraphviz 1.24 and graph 1.26 through R. I'm trying to understand why a complex function my team wrote causes R's memory footprint viewed through top to increase every time it's run. I traced the increase in memory usage to layoutGraph() and wrote the following short function

Plotting with Rgraphviz
Hi All, After a lengthy battle just to get the package installed, I am not able to actually use Rgraphviz to generate any plots. I tried just using the sample code in the documentation (http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/moac/people/students/peter_cock/r/rgraphviz/) and I get the following: *> > library(Rgraphviz) > test.matrix<-matrix(rep(c(0,1,0,0), 9), ncol=6, nrow=6) >

Finding a path using the Graph package
Hello, Does anyone know of a way of finding all the nodes that are between a pair of specified nodes in the excellent graph package (R vers 2.5.0). I have a class(graphAM) object and need to determine all possible pathways in this object. Here's an example: In the simple case of a--b--c (where -- denotes "conected to") the list of all pathways would be: ab ba abc cba cb bc.

boxplot changes fontsize of labels
Hi all! So far I learned some R but finilizing my plots so they look publishable seems not to be possible. I set up some boxplots. Everything works well but when I put more then two of them in one plot the labels of the axes appear smaller than the normal font size. > x <- rnorm(30) > y <- rnorm(30) > par(mfrow=c(1,4)) > boxplot(x,y, names=c("horray",

Windows plots & fontsize
I recently wrote a package that runs on both Linux and Windows. The functions fetch data to an SQL database and make diverse plots, usually with many labels and annotations. I recently noticed that on SOME windows computers the fonts in the plots were too large, which caused labels to overlap. On other windows computers this does not happen. However on both computers the command

Problem with fontsize of pie-chart in postscript file
Hi all, I've a problem with the size of the labels of my pie-charts when I try to write them to a postscript file. I need to increase the default size, so I change cex (see below). On screen this works fine, but cex doesn't seem to affect the postscript-file. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot, Daniel Copy/Past-example (will try to write to c:/temp!): labels <- c("I",

Setting fontsize in dev.copy2eps
I have a figure on screen with a legend. I want to copy this image to EPS, and use: dev.copy2eps(file="file1.eps", width=5, height=5) The legend that looks OK on screen doesn't look OK in the PostScript image: the text extends out of the box. I try adding a fontsize command: dev.copy2eps(file="file1.eps", width=5, height=5, pointsize=5) This options seems to

To help reviewers understand the patch and where we're headed with it, I've prepared the following design documentation. For now I'm sending it to llvm-dev until we have an official design doc for

Nodes & edges with similarity matrix
Hello, I apologise if someone has already answered this but I searched and googled but didn't find anything. I have a matrix which gives me the similarity of each item to each other. I would like to turn this matrix into something like what they have in the graph package with the nodes and edges. http://cran.r-project.org/doc/packages/graph.pdf . However I cannot find a method to

[LLVMdev] Profiling in LLVM Patch
Hi Andreas, First, thanks again for undertaking this work and submitting it back. There is a lot of good stuff here and it would be great to see it get back into the tree. I have a few major high-level comments on the patch. First off, the patch is quite large and should be broken down into separate incremental changes which are easier to review and apply. I think the patches should more or less

Large data set in R
Hello, I'm trying to use R statistical packages to do ANOVA analysis using aov() and lm(). I'm having a problem when I have a large data set for input data from Full Factorial Design Experiment with replications. R seems to store everything in the memory and it fails when memory is not enough to hold the massive computation. Have anyone successfully used R to do such analysis before? Are

Durbin-Watson
Hi, I ran an experiment with 3 factors, 2 levels and 200 replications and as I want to test for residuals independence, I used Durbin-Watson in R. I found two functions (durbin.watson and dwtest) and while both are giving the same rho, the p-values are greatly differ: > durbin.watson(mod1) lag Autocorrelation D-W Statistic p-value 1 -0.04431012 2.088610 0.012 Alternative

Win7 unable to join domain if PDC has a static IP address
I've seen this asked before in various forums and even on here, but never answered; here is a list of the symptoms and what I have done, hopefully someone here will have a solution. I have an Ubuntu10.04 server running samba3.4.7 and I have a (fleet of) Lenovo Thinkpad Edge's running win7Pro64 If the Samba server has been assigned a static IP address then the Lenovo will not join the
