B-spline/smooth.basis derivative matrices
Hello, I've noticed that SPLUS seems to have a function for evaluating derivative matrices of splines. I've found the R function that evaluates matrices from 'smooth.spline'; maybe someone has written something to do the same with smooth.basis? regards, s

ActiveRecord: Behavior not doumented
Hello everbody, doing a #find(:first,an_id) with Rails 1.1.0 I expected that find returns the record which id mathches the given parameter an_id or nil if it couldn''t be found. This behaviour is documented on api.rubyonrails.org. But the find returns the first available object and not nil if an_id is not in the db. Is the doc on rubyonrails.org out of sync? Rails on Sun
Hi Everbody, I''ve got a potential idea for introducing Rails to my company. My only shot at this is to minimize what our Ops guys would have to install and configure to get this up and running. Right now, our servers are Solaris boxes and we are using Sun ONE as our web server. Anyone got Rails running in this environment? Also, has anyone got Rails talking to Oracle databases?

Different default realm per listener
Hi all! I want create a large IMAP server setup where dovecot is listening on multiple interfaces and needs a different default realm on each interface. I'm using dovecot 2.0.5 on FreeBSD9 and authenticate against a LDAP database. I found an old mail thread from 2007 that said I'm basically screwed. Has that change since than? Is there any way to use different default realms per listener?
