Habituation model
Dear all,
I am looking at habituation of dogs trotting on a treadmill.
I record the ground reaction force and I analyze it with several discrete variables (maximum, minimum,...)
For each variable, I get between 40 and 50 data per sample.
I record data at time 1 min, 2 min, and 4 min a day, and I have 4 days of measurement (one day a week).
That means I have 12 samples : Day1_Min1, Day1_Min2,

Post hoc analysis for ANOVA with repeated measures
Dear all,
how can I perform a post hoc analysis for ANOVA with repeated measures (in
presence of a balanced design)?
I am not able to find a good example over internet in R...is there among you
someone so kind to give
me an hint with a R example please?
For example, the aov result of my analysis says that there is a statistical
difference between stimuli (there are 7 different stimuli).

Problem with 2-ways ANOVA interactions
Dear All,
I have a problem in understanding how the interactions of 2 ways ANOVA work,
because I get conflicting results
from a t-test and an anova. For most of you my problem is very simple I am sure.
I need an help with an example, looking at one table I am analyzing. The table
is in attachment
and can be imported in R by means of this command:

Developing Marketing materials ...
Hi,
I am working on developing a professional Marketing Materials for my
systems.
I plan on using a very good(expensive) company to do that so splitting the
costs with several people would be nice.
Let me know if you are interested on taking part in it.

How to verify availability of the DID connection?
Hi all,
Occasionally, DIDs from different providers stop working for some reason.
I would like to be able to monitor situations like that and react before any of my clients start going ballistic on me.
Any ideas? Scripts you know of or wrote and willing to share?
Any info?would be greatly appreciated.

Problems with sip registrations through HP Procurve 7102dl
Hi,
I have a strange problem, when I try to connect to les.net from our local asterisk server through Procurve router I seems to be connecting on any port above 1024 and when I reload sip the port is changing too ...
So I never get 5060? Any ideas on what is going on and how to resolve it?
?
Sincerely,
Robert Augustyn

Time-Series, multiple measurements, ANOVA model over time points, analysis advice
Hi,
I have some general questions about statistical analysis for a research
dataset and a request for advice on using R and associated packages for a
valid analysis of this data. I can only pose the problem as how to run
multiple ANOVA tests on time series data, with reasonable controls of the
family-wise error rate. If we run analysis at many small sections of a long
time-series, the Type-I

cat bailing out in a for loop
Dear All,
I am trying to calculate the Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium p-value for 42
SNPs. I am using the function HWE.exact from the package "genetics".
In order not to do a lot of coding "by hand", I have a for loop that
goes through each column (each column is one SNP) and gives me the
p.value for HWE.exact. Unfortunately some SNP have reached fixation and
HWE.exact requires a

CITEL gateway does it work well?
Hi all,
Is using a Citel gateway with Asterisk a good solution for reusing of the
old Nortel digital phones?
Would love to get some input from actual users.
Any/all opinions welcome.

Repeated-measures anova with a within-subject covariate (or varying slopes random-effects?)
Dear all,
I am having quite a hard time in trying to figure out how to correctly
spell out a model in R (a repeated-measures anova with a
within-subject covariate, I guess). Even though I have read in the
posting guide that statistical advice may or may not get an answer on
this list, I decided to try it anyway, hoping not to incur in
somebody's ire for misusing the tool.

understanding session fixation attacks
is there a way that, our application can understand wheteher the session id
sent from the browser is forged or created by rails? I understand that if
the attacker guesses session id, theres nothing we can do about it; but can
we understand if he/she is trying to guess by creating random session ids.

Non-finite finite difference error
Hello, I'm trying to use fitdistr() from the MASS package to fit a gamma
distribution to a set of data. The data set is too large (1167 values) to
reproduce in an email, but the summary statistics are:
Min. 1st Qu. Median Mean 3rd Qu. Max.
116.7 266.7 666.7 1348.0 1642.0 16720.0
The call I'm trying to make is:
fitdistr(x,"gamma")
and the error is:

ANOVA/ANCOVA Repeated Measure Mixed Model
Hello,
I am trying to test some results I have for significance. It has been
recommended that I use R and I am completely new to this.
Set-up:
Groups: two groups of 8 subjects (16 total)
Two conditions: alert and passive
Measurements: responses for three different stimuli (A, B, and C)
measured in each condition
Experiment: Testing the order of conditions
Group one: Alert A, B

selectively altering variable value
Hello,
I have run an eye-tracking experiment for which I now like to analyse the saccades. Participants looked from a fixation cross (ia = 5) to the target area (ia = 4) in following example of a data frame. ia = 9 stands for everything else. A saccade is indicated by saccade = 1. Sometimes the saccade just ends before the target area (see below). This is due to the parameters that determine a
