Newbie questions -- is OCFS2 what I even want?
Dear Sirs and Madams,
I run a small visual effects production company, Hammerhead Productions.
We'd like to have an easily extensible inexpensive relatively
high-performance
storage network using open-source components. I was hoping that OCFS2
would be that system.
I have a half-dozen 2 TB fileservers I'd like the rest of the network to see
as a single 12 TB disk, with the aggregate

The community
It occurred to me over the last few days that in fact I hadn''t been a
model ShoreWall Citizen so I went to the site and visited this link for
inspiration:
http://www.cityofshoreline.com/about/history/index.html
Here I was reminded of just how open source communities are suppose to
work. Just like the early beginnings of Shoreline, Tom has brought
together many scattered settlements

[LLVMdev] Couple newbie questions :|
Thanks for the response :D
I have used Python and Lua before. I'd love to use the syntax of lua with
the object oriented ness of python, and I thought LLVM would be a way to do
that.
Again your help is appreciated.

I have a geffo 4 ti 4200 AGP 4x OpenGL 1.3 hardaware support, GL_ARB_fragment must be an extension of OpenGL 2, also Windows nvidia driver lack of this extension. Looking at the source code written by David Reveman the GL_ARB_fragment_program it's used when loading the bump mapping effects. I've

The desire for prettier and cheaper images ...
This might be easy (but I didn't find an answer in the archives).
I'm trying to make nice looking images (using image()).
To make them look nice (not jagged), it usually takes me at least 100x100 points. This can be slow for frequent redraws.
Is there a smarter (less point intensive) way?
I was thinking in terms of hexabins, for example, which for much less jagged looking regions,

Error message when using zero-inflated count regression model in package zicounts
I have data on number of vines per tree for ~550 trees. Over half of
the trees did not have any vines and the data is fairly skewed
(median = 0, mean = 1.158, 3rd qu. = 1.000). I am attempting to
investigate whether plot location (four sites), species (I'm using
only the four most common species), or tree dbh has a significant
influence on the number of vines per tree. When I

what does it mean when "lm.gls" says that the weight matrix has wrong dimension?
If first fit my data column V1 to column V2 using normal "lm" fitting,
call it "fit1",
then I used "acf(fit1$residuals, type='cov', 40) " function to obtain the
autocovariance of the residuals,
and then constructed a autocovariance matrix, I chose it to be 40x40.
Call this autocovariance matrix B,
I then use the following "lm.gls" function to

Is there a command that marks the screen as "dirty" and hopefully
redraws it?
If I do a control ALT F1 and the F7 this in effect redraws the screen.
I am getting video artifacts that I think is in the nvidia driver.
the switching console works - I was just hoping there is a more
convenient way.

density ellipses?
Hello,
has anybody written a function to plot density ellipses (95%, 99% or
anything) in a scatterplot? I found nothing in any package, nor in the list
archives.
There does seem to be a contributed package "ellipse" for S-Plus (on
S-Archive), but it does a lot more than what I would need. Still, if anybody
ported it to R, I'd be grateful for a link. I'm a bit afraid to try the

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Stripping unusable intrinsics
This seems to indicate that the idea is a workable solution to your use case.
We've still got some bikesheds to get through. (And I don't consider myself a good reviewer for Clang in this, so we need to identify who is.)
As background to this extension idea, let me say that I prefer the notion that developers, particularly perf-aware developers like gamedevs, will want to handle PGO via
