lattice::panel.levelplot.raster too picky with unequal spacing
Dear all, I got a couple of warnings using panel.levelplot.raster, In panel.levelplot.raster(..., interpolate = TRUE) : 'y' values are not equispaced; output will be wrong although I was quite sure my data were equally spaced (indeed, I created them with seq()). A closer look at the source code reveals that the function tests for exact uniformity in grid spacing, if

R 2.9.2 crashes when sorting latin1-encoded strings
Hi everyone! I think I stumbled over a bug in the latest R 2.9.2 patched for OS X: > R version 2.9.2 Patched (2009-09-24 r49861) > i386-apple-darwin9.8.0 When I try to sort latin1-encoded character vectors, R sometimes crashes with a segmentation fault. I'm running OS X 10.5.8 and have observed this behaviour both with the i386 and x86_64 builds, in the R.app GUI as well as on

[R] besselK
[cc'ing to R-devel] It's moderately obscure to me too, but ... There are two sets of bessel code in the package, one in C++ from Chris Bond and the other in FORTRAN from Netlib (I think). The FORTRAN code is the one that's giving trouble, you might try just removing the FORTRAN code from the src directory and trying again.

Several PCA questions...
Hi, I am doing PCA on several columns of data in a data.frame. I am interested in particular rows of data which may have a particular combination of 'types' of column values (without any pre-conception of what they may be). I do the following... # My data table. allDat <- read.table("big_select_thresh_5", header=1) # Where some rows look like this... # PDB SUNID1

OT: PSTOWMF
Hallo, I've produced via R-0.62 several Life-tables 50*6 (mfrow=c(2,3)) as postscriptgraphs. The phd student, who asked for this, use word for windows--therefore i converted the whole stuff with pstoimg to gifs. Unlikly the result is not sufficient (I was told)... Is there a tool to convert ps to wmf/emf ? I looked for it but haven't found anything... Thanks for an answer Peter

Howto reduce number of ticks in X, Y axis while still containing all the data
Hi I am trying to plot 100 x 100 matrix data in a level plot. The problem I have is that the x/y -axis label in ticks are jumbled together. Thus I want X/Y axis to contain 10 ticks only, yet still plotting all the 100 data. Is there a way to do it? The code I have below doesn't work. __BEGIN__ # Corr contains 100x100 matrix corr <- cor(t(mat.data), method ="pearson") # Plot

weird routing(?) problem with 2 Asterisk servers
Hi everyone! situation: Asterisk-server A: 192.168.11.6 Asterisk-server B: 192.168.2.44 server B contains a register => username:password@192.168.11.6 But... when I boot it, I get: Registered to '192.168.11.6', who sees us as 10.138.3.2:4569 Why doesn't server A see server B as 192.168.2.44?? All other traffic going over these lines has no problems with this. The

RSPerl and Statistics::R
Greetings! Being a Perl hacker for some time, and wanting to leverage what R provides, I've been trying to work with Statistics::R and RSPerl. The former has a race condition that breeds some unreliability and the latter seems to have issues all around, and neither has been updated in some time. Are these projects are abandoned, or is there some effort currently being undertaken to

'asterisk' displayed on my Cisco 7960 & 7912 ...
The problem is some calls from the PSTN have hidden caller id so if you want to change it to something else then modify chan_sip.c #define CALLERID_UNKNOWN "Asterisk" I've changed mine to: #define CALLERID_UNKNOWN "Unknown" -----Original Message----- From: Shaun Ewing [mailto:sewing@gmail.com] Sent: 22 September 2004 14:16 To: Asterisk Users Mailing List

OpenSolaris+ZFS+RAIDZ+VirtualBox - ready for production systems?
Hi all, I have been looking at various alternatives for a system that runs several Linux & Windows guests. So far my favorite choice would be OpenSolaris+ZFS+RAIDZ+VirtualBox. Is this combo ready to be a host for Linux & Windows guests? Or is it not 100% stable (yet)? Greetings, Evert This message posted from opensolaris.org

'connecting' voip-numbers to our Asterisk
Hi everyone! I have a problem... We have received a couple of phone numbers for voip from a local voip-provider. The work fine directly with a Cisco 7960, but so far I've not been able yet to integrate them into Asterisk. I've tried: /etc/asterisk/extensions.conf ***** [ip-incoming]

dial '0' for outside line and get a dialtone...
Hi everyone! I'd like to create the following: a user picks up the phone (gets a dial tone), dials '0' for an 'outside' line, gets a second (different?) dialtone, and is able to enter an external phone number. How do I implement this in extensions.conf...? Regards, Evert

Wrong ID going out...
Hi all! I'm trying to have asterisk route all outgoing calls out via my VOIP provider. exten => _NXXXXXXX,1,Dial,SIP/BYEXTENSION@VOIP seems to have them to in the direct direction. However, debug shows that my asterisk doesn't identify itself correctly: Sip read: SIP/2.0 100 Trying From: "Evert"<sip:asterisk@[my IP]>;tag=as0aca53fa To: <sip:[dialled

levelplot and source() problems
I have been using levelplot but have had trouble calling it inside functions - something seems to go wrong when it's not called directly from the R command prompt. Simplest reproducible example: $ R --vanilla > library(lattice) > levelplot(matrix(1:4,2,2)) - This gives a nice plot in soothing pastel colors. Now, with a file lptest.r containing 2 lines: library(lattice)

Dahdi/callerid issue
Hi All, Maybe someone knows this, im using dahdi in combination with a TDM400, where 2 analog PSTN lines are connected. The weird thing is tho that when someone calls the analog lines it goes perfectly fine, the line comes in and all works ok. Except: Sometimes the callerid from the caller is not the complete number, but only a few random numbers from that phonenumber, and sometimes its complete.

function optimization: reducing the computing time
Dear useRs, I have written a function that implements a Bayesian method to compare a patient's score on two tasks with that of a small control group, as described in Crawford, J. and Garthwaite, P. (2007). Comparison of a single case to a control or normative sample in neuropsychology: Development of a bayesian approach. Cognitive Neuropsychology, 24(4):343?372. The function (see

dialing from a website. How to start...?
Hi all! We use a PHP-portal for management of our projects & contacts. Now I would like to make it possible to dial contacts directly from the portal. Since users have to log in, I can use that to determine which office phone the call should originate from. And the number-to-be-dialed is of course also listed. How do I commence here? I'm pretty sure others have done this already, so
