reinstall packages
I have some rpm packages that I built locally. After installing and
configuring them, I found a problem that required a source patch. I
have rebuilt the rpms, but since they have the same version number as
the original, I can't use "yum localupdate" to install them. Is there
a clean way to do this with yum, or do I just need to remove the old
packages and then install the new

xdgurl
Has anyone figured out how to make Firefox 45.4.0 on CentOS 6 use xdgurl
to handle xdg:// URLs?
Google is full of suggestions that don't work. When I select a an
xdg:// link I don't get a dialog asking me what to do like Google says I
will. Instead I get a message that says Firefox doesn't have a clue how
to handle this URL. Do you want to try again?
I tried about:config

Hi all,
I have a problem :).
On my CentOS workstation, I had glib2-2.4.7-1 installed.
This is the last version which is provided by the CentOS distribution
However, I need to install a software which requires an higher glib2
version so :
I took the source of glib2-2.8.4-1 on the gtk+ web site and creates the
rpm installation file with "chkinstall"
I obtained the

Hi,
are there any plas to implement xdg-open feature along with old
"hardcode" style ?
Not all people likes to use xpdf or firefox, switching to xdg-open
would be a great enchancement.
Cheers.

This seems to put the virt-builder config files into
/etc/xdg/virt-builder which is kind of annoying. Can we move them to
a regular default location (/etc/virt-builder)?

Hi,

About LDTP:

In windows domain there are many GUI automation tools, which can
recognize the GUI as "objects" and not just with co-ordinates.
Unfortunately, Open Source Linux GUI automation tools are not matured up

Adding XDG BDS paths *as fallbacks only*, not replacing ~/.ssh
Since I can't help but feel like my previous email is already being flat-out ignored, I would just like to reiterate:
- I am not asking for ~/.ssh to stop being used.
- I am happy to contribute this myself with the blessing of the devs.
All I would like is to be able to move files within ~/.ssh to their appropriate XDG paths and have OpenSSH continue to find these files without me needing to

Using xdg-open by default under Wine
Hello.
Is there a way to make Wine use the xdg-open program by default when opening file types it does not know about?
For example, I have XArchive with RAR support, but don't have WinRAR installed on Wine.
I want to make Wine use xdg-open, which will call XArchive which in turn will use the `rar' program to operate on the file.
Any help on this topic?

hanging pxelinux.0 and menu.c32 on Dell 1850
Hello all.
I've got this weird problem. If I try to boot a simple menu using
syslinux's (v 3.09) pxelinux.0 and menu.c32 -files my Dell 1850 loses
the keyboard / hangs straight after loading menu.c32. The machine has to
be powered off completely.
I did some research and got it working by using menu.c32 v3.09 and
pxelinux.0 v3.07 -combo.
It seems that from version 3.08 on something has

problem with Rmpi 0.5-5 and openmpi
Dear knowledgeable experts :-),
I am trying to get openmpi, Rmpi and SNOW running on a Myrinet/GM

installation of Rmpi and SNOW.
I try to load the Rmpi library and get the following:

Thank you puppet!!
I''ve been hacking at puppet for the past week or two, and came up with
some great stuff, but I''m wondering if there''s a way to tie it all
together
To create a virtual machine for our company''s QA environment, I''m
currently doing 3 things:
#create a vm
node vmsvr2 inherits default {
include vmserver
vmserver::vm {
