Hello, I'm reposting a previous problem that got off the mailing list. I'm now using samba-2.2.4 but still on an IRIX 5.3 machine. When I preform: smbpasswd -j <DOMAIN> I receive the error: tdb(/usr/local/samba/private/secrets.tdb): tdb_oob len 1111638618 beyond eof at 8192 Unable to write the machine account password for machine <Server NetBIOS name> in domain

Is possible? --- reposting + new
Hi. I'm trying to find a solution for our windows clients. I will explain my situation. We have kerberos 5 (mit) kdc, openafs without kaserver (authentication using kerberos), openldap, everything on debian stable servers. What do our unix/linux clients do? They authenticate over kerberos (pam), gain tickets and consequently gain the afs token (krb5afs or openafs_session), call ldap and

Prediction Intervals (reposting)
(I'm reposting this message because the original has not appeared after about 2 days. Sorry if it shows up twice.) Hello. First, thanks to those who responded to my recent inquiry about using contour() over arbitrary (x,y) by mentioning the interp() function in the akima package. That worked nicely. Now for a new question: I would like to use a pair of prediction intervals to

I am fairly new to R and still trying to figure out how it all works, and I have run into a few issues. I apologize in advance if my questions are a bit basic, I'm also no

xyplot: modify axis tick marks
Hi, I would like to plot time against rainfall data (data is at the end) using xyplot. The basic code looks like this: xyplot(rainfall~time, type="a") When I do this, the graph looks ok except that the x-axis has too many values. I would just like to display the years and not the months on the x-axis. I've been fiddling around with 'scales', and read previous posts about

merge two matrices
Dear R-help members I would be grateful if anyone could help me with the following problem: I would like to combine two matrices (SCH_15 and SCH_16, they are attached) which have a species presence/absence x sampling plot structure. The aim would be to have in the end only one matrix which shows all existing species and their presence/absence on all the different plots(an_1, an_2 etc.) To do
