zooreg and lmrob problem (bug?)
Hi all and thanks for your time in advance,
I can't figure out why summary.lmrob complains when lmrob is used on a
zooreg object. If the zooreg object is converted to vector before
calling lmrob, no problems appear.
Let me clarify this with an example:
>library(robustbase)
>library(zoo)
>dad<-c(801.4625,527.2062,545.2250,608.2313,633.8875,575.9500,797.0500,706.4188,

Is this sapply behaviour normal?
Hi, I'm trying to use sapply to compute the min of several variables, each
of them stored in data.frames, grouped as a list:
Is it normal that mean() and min() produce different objects dimensions?

Histogram inset into another histogram
Dear R users and helpers,
I'm trying to find an example of a histogram plot as an inset (upper
right or left corner) of another histogram.
Anyone has an example of that?
Thanks for your help,
V?ctor.

"Rotated Lat-Lon" projection in mapproj
Hi,
I'm trying to plot a field obtained from the atmospheric model WRF-NMM
which uses a "Rotated Lat-Lon? map projection.
The WRF documentation mentions that:
? Rotates the earth's lat/lon grid such that the intersection of the
equator and prime meridian is at the center of the model domain.
? Within the rotated framework the grid spacing is constant, but in an
earth-relative

Bivariate interpolation
Hello,
Is there any other bivariate pointwise interpolation command besides akima's
interpp? I tried to search through the J. Baron's page without luck.
The problem is that I have got regularly spaced data (in x and y) what is
not acceptable for interpp.
I am not very much interested in the method of interpolation as the data are
dense and the error would not be to high.

combining/overlaying boxplot and barplot
Dear all,
I would like to visualise when days are rainy or dry in bar/boxplots.
Therefore I've tried to combine raingauge data (boxplots) and percentage
of raingauges with 0mm measurements (barplot). See attachment
mei2004.pdf (if it came through).
I've come this far:
barplot(dcp0[monthindex], col="gray", border=NA, axes=F)
boxplot(t(dcpn[monthindex,]),

Temporized AGI Scripts.
Hi all,
Now I'm working with a E400P, and I don't now if it's possible to do the following. I want that and AGI script (Perl) recieve a call, and the user introduce the date, the time and the destination phone number (where the temporized AGI must call). Before an AGI script will call to that number in the date and time introduced by user. That's possible, and it's how can I

2d kriging with anisotropy on an irregular network (RandomFields Package)
Dear List
I am using the RandomFields package, and I have a problem when 2d-kriging, with an anisotropy, some values from an irregular network.
It works well when :
- 2d-kriging, without any anisotropy, some data from an irregular network
- 2d-kriging, with and without anisotropy, some data from a regular network
- 3d-kriging, with and without anisotropy, some data from a regular network

Problems with music during tones of dial.
Hi everybody,
Firstly I'm going to describe the scenario where I'm working. I use a E400P with Asterisk CVS-05/22/03-11:14:50, and I'm working with asterisk trow AGI scripts (Perl).
The configuration of extension.conf is:

mirror whole hard disk with rsync
I want to create an exact copy of a whole hard disk and to maintain this copy
synchronised with the "original" one. The idea is to have a safe backup that
allows me, in case the "original" disk fails, to change it by the "clone"
disk and start the computer as if nothing had happened. The computer runs
Linux.
I heard a good option for this purpose is to use dd to

There's a big thread about filesystems on postfix-users@postfix.org
Could you shed some light on that issue?

"!" in dial-pattern not work with overlap dialing
hello all
i want to have overlap dialing in asterisk. it works fine if i don't have
"!" in my pattern. for example pattern "07." works fine and i can call
07122 by overlap dialing via it. but if i define "07!" i can't call 07122
because it doesn't wait to collect all digits and therefore call 07. if i
define "07.!" it works fine again and
