Mancova with R
Dear all,
I'm trying to compare two sets of variables, the first set is composed exclusively of numerical variables and the second regroups factors and numerical variables. I can't use a Manova because of this inclusion of numerical variables in the second set. The solution should be to perform a Mancova, but I didn't find any package that allow this type of test.
I've already

confidence intervals in Manova and Mancova in Splus
Anyone
I'm wondering how to make confidence intervals (bonferroni or simultaneous)
when using Manova and Mancova in Splus. I 'm doing manova with four variables
on length and four variables on weight (of salmon). The measuring is done on
different time points. I'm working on my master in the field between
biostatistics and fishery biology. If anyone knows a good book on mancova

repeated-measures multiple regression/ANCOVA/MANCOVA
Dear List,
I am trying to analyze a dataset where I have 1 continuous
between-item variable (C), and 2 factorial within-item variables (3-
and 2-level: F3, F2). I'm interested in whether slope of C is
different from 0 at different combinations of F3 and F2, and whether
it varies between these combinations.
And unfortunately I need a decent anova-like table with p-values. The
reason is that

MANCOVA in R
Hello,
I have subjects in 4 groups: X1, X2, X3, X4. There are 33 subjects in
group X1, 35 in X2, 31 in X3, and 46 in group X4. I have 7 continuous
response variables (actually integers, approximately normal) measured
for each subject: Y1 to Y7, and two continuous covariates C1, C2 (they
are both integers).
I want to perform all pairwise comparisons for each response variable
between groups.

MANCOVA
Hi,
I have been using R to do multiple analyses of variance with two
covariates, but recently found that the results in SPSS were very
different. I have check several books and web resources and I think
that both methods are correct, but I am less familiar with R, so I was
hoping someone could offer some suggestions. Oddly simple ANOVA is the
same in SPSS and R. Including covariates improves the

Good evening to everybody,
I have problems to import in R a really big dataset (more than 1000000 values). Which is the best package to install?
Is there someone who works with this kind of dataset and can help me, please?
Thank you very much,

R package compilation: files in src directory should be ignored if C library is not available
I have written an R package which contains C source code (in the directory pkg/src).
Only a subset of the functions in the pkg/R directory contain a .C() call to the functions in the pkg/src directory. The rest of the package will still work and be useful without the functions containing a .C() call.
To compile the code in pkg/src requires the GSL library. This is detailed in the

Etimating time to run an analysis?
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this list and have searched R help prior for an answer to this question, without luck. If I'm posting in error, please forgive.
I'm thinking about using package MuMIn to do multimodel inference with logistic regression. I have many (25) possible predictors and am curious if there is a way to estimate how long the dredge command might take to run?

Add text to a stacked barplot
Hi All,
I need some help in putting text in a stacked barplot. The barplot is filled
with 5 levels and now I would like to put text to each level in the stacked
barplot. However, it seems that the code that I am using is not placing the
text at the correct hight (centered at each fill) in the barplot. Any
suggestions to improve the code to make it work?

A question regarding bootstrap
Dear List Members,
I have two small samples (n=20), the distributions are highly skewed. Does
it make any sense to do a boostrap test to check for difference in means?
And if so, could this be done like this:
x <- numeric(10000)
for(i in 1:10000) {
x[i] <- mean(sample(sample1,replace=TRUE)) -
mean(sample(sample2,replace=TRUE))
}
(mean(sample1)-mean(sample2))/sd(x)

Sorry about that, here's the link: https://godbolt.org/z/-PinQP
Lines 4 to 8 are initializing |acpar|.
If I'm understanding correctly, the store to 8(%rsp) at line 7 can be
removed because of the

Dead store elimination in the backend for -ftrivial-auto-var-init
There are two problems:
1. padding after union and call to q(), without LTO we can't remove that
store.
2. shortcut which I have which ignores all instructions q() . this assume
that memset to acpar.match, acpar.matchinfo also useful which is not true. I
should be able to improve this case.

No luck contacting Chris Lattner re commit access
Hi all,
As per the instructions here
<http://llvm.org/docs/DeveloperPolicy.html#obtaining-commit-access>, I
contacted Chris Lattner to obtain commit access but haven't received a
response (either positive or negative). What's the expected turnaround time
for this (I contacted him five days ago)? In case he's currently
unavailable, is there someone else I could contact?
Thanks,
