envelopes of simulations
Hello!
I am writing you because I could not plot the confidence envelopes for
functions Jest, Jcross, Jdot, Jmulti, and L, using the Spatstat package.
I have already understood how to do that for Kest or Jest, that is:
JEnv <- plot(envelope(PPPData, Jest))
Where PPPData is my ppp object.
However, for Jcross I must specify the two marks I want to analyse.
That is, usually I would get the

Spatstat - Kest, envelope problem
Hello,
I am writing cause I have a problem when try to create confidence envelopes
in spatstat.
I have a point data representing firms in my study area.
When I try to create confidence envelopes the error message turns up:
[> p <- envelope(point, fun=Kest, nsim=99)
Error in marks.ppp(Y, dfok = FALSE) :
Sorry, not implemented when the marks are a data frame]
Could you write me how can I

Spatstat: Mark correlation function
I normally use the following code to create a figure displaying the mark
correlation function for the point pattern process "A":
M<-markcorr(A)
plot(M)
I have now started to use the following code to perform 1000 Monte Carlo
simulations of Complete Spatial Randomness (CSR). It is a Monte Carlo test
based on envelopes of the Mark correlation function obtained from simulated

Plotting envelopes in spatstat
Hello,
Somehow I cannot control my envelope plots on Spatstat package. I would like
to plot an envelope with no legend and also I would like to label the plot
as such:
>plot(envelope(data, nsim=39, main="My K Plot", legend=FALSE,
xlab="Distance")
But somehow the "main", "legend" and "xlab" calls do not have any effect on
the plot. Can someone

Rhelp: Need help interpreting plots in spatstat
Hello everybody--
I have been playing with my data in spatstat, and what I'd like to
present is a basic exploratory spatial analysis. I have used the
following code, using a ppp.object called tsdspoints. The code
develops the simulations and the envelopes I want, but I don't
understand my first plot here, the [tsds.ghat.short$r,
tsds.ghat.short$raw]...I cobbled together this code

child killed by signal 6
Hello,
from time to time I keep getting problems with some emails causing
signal 6. I've already reported those, but it seems not to be easy to
find the cause. From the logs, it seems to occur in sieve implementation.
I've checked the email envelopes tody by accident, probably this part of
my telnet session might help:

Possible Bug: file.exists() Function. Due to UTF-8 Encoding differences on Windows between R 4.0.1 and R 3.6.3?
Dear R Developers,
I am having an issue with the renv package and R 4.0.1, which I
suspect is related to base R and not the renv package itself, as with
R 3.6.3 such an "error" does not appear.
The error is raised by a file.exists() path, and path
"C:\Users\J-tel\Documents", which in R 3.6.3 is read correctly, but in
R 4.0.1 fails (Probably because of the "-"

Quantitative analysis of non-standard scatter plots.
Hi,
I am having difficulties in finding ways to analyse scatter plots and
quantitatively differentiate between them. Since this is best demonstrated
by a figure, I have attached one with 4 subfigures (a)-(d). Qualitatively
(and I hope you would agree with me), sub-figures (a), (b), and (d) seem to
represent uniform 2d scatters. It is hard for me to quantify it, but it
seems as if the envelopes

Possible Bug: file.exists() Function. Due to UTF-8 Encoding differences on Windows between R 4.0.1 and R 3.6.3?
Hi Tomas,
I received a report about R 4.0.0 in the knitr package
(https://github.com/yihui/knitr/issues/1840), and I think it is
related to the issue here. I created a minimal reproducible example
below:
owd = setwd(tempdir())
z = 'K\u00e4sch.txt'
file.create(z)
list.files()
file.exists(list.files())
setwd(owd)
Output:
> owd = setwd(tempdir())
> z = 'K\u00e4sch.txt'

RFC 3501 violation in FETCH BODY responses
Hi there,
Quoting RFC 3501 sec. 7.4.2 ?FETCH Response? (data item BODYSTRUCTURE):
?A body type of type MESSAGE and subtype RFC822 contains,
immediately after the basic fields, the envelope structure, body
structure, and size in text lines of the encapsulated message.?
According the ABNF (RFC 3501 sec. 9) the envelope structure is that of
the ENVELOPE FETCH data item, and the

webservice timeout issue
I am having an issue where I am trying to test a weservice that I wrote by
connecting to it from ruby. When I submit my form that calls the webservice
it times out. you can see from the lighttpd log that the webservice
completes just after the timeout. any ideas? am I doing something wrong?

Bug: Dovecot appending "MISSING_DOMAIN" to fetch envelope responses
Hi all,
I'm seeing Dovecot include the string "MISSING_DOMAIN" in fetch
envelope requests when an mailbox's `addr-spec` part does not have a
`domain` part.
For example:
> C: a022 uid fetch 40 (envelope rfc822.header)
> S: * 5 FETCH (UID 40 ENVELOPE ("Sat, 15 Aug 2020 12:53:05 +1000"

Qualified parameters in SOAP body using .SOAP
Hello,
I am trying to reach a web service using the SOAP package. I succeeded
calling the web service, but not sending parameters to it. After much
research and tries, I think I found that the problem lies in the
namespace including the parameters in the SOAP body.
In short, my question is: how can I send unqualified parameters in the
SOAP body of a call produced through the SOAP package?

different ACF results
Dear all,
I have one Model (M3) fitted using the lme package, and I have
checked the correlation structure of within-group errors using
plot(ACF (M3,maxLag=10),alpha=0.05)
But now I am not sure how to interpret this plot for the empirical
autocorrelation function.
The problem is that I am used to see/interpret diagrams in which all
the autocorrelation Lags, except lag-1, are inside the

Problemas para instalar Shiny en Mac
Hola,

SSOAP and Chemspider: Security token?
Dear community,
has anyone managed to get SSOAP working with the ChemSpider Web APIs, using functions which need the security token?
I use SSOAP 0.9-0 from the OmegaHat repository.
In the example code from SSOAP there is a sample which uses a token function. Interestingly, it checks if(!is.character(token)) first (and proceeds if the token is NOT character.) I can't test that function since I

Possible Bug: file.exists() Function. Due to UTF-8 Encoding differences on Windows between R 4.0.1 and R 3.6.3?
Hi Juan,
For bug reports to R, you should attempt to create a
minimally-reproducible example, using only R's builtin facilities and
not any other addon packages. Given your report, it's not clear
whether the issue lies within renv or truly is caused by a change in R
4.0.0.
Also note that you have not supplied a minimally reproducible example.
If at all possible, you should be able to

Address Codes
One of our summer interns has stayed on during the school
year to work some weekends on special assignments. This past
weekend, her assignment was to draft, and try out, procedures
for scanning all incoming regular mail including the envelopes.
This is a new effort for us because previous mail handling was
done by another organization.
Most of our incoming mail is from other businesses that

(-1 as index) OR (envelope for QQ)
I'm new to R (and to S) and am wondering about code from pages 72 and
83 of MASS (Venables+Ripley, 3rd edition), to draw an envelope on a QQ
plot. Copying from the book, I've got:
#... code whose gist is "a.fit <- nls(..."
num.points <- length(resid(a.fit))
qqnorm(residuals(a.fit)) # illustrate data-model residuals
qqline(residuals(a.fit))
