Can't join Samba as DC to existing Win2k3 Domain
I downloaded and built Samba 4, and I'm at the step where I'm trying to add it to the domain and I'm getting a replication error when it's trying to do it's initial replication. bin/samba-tool domain join domain.coop DC -Uusername --realm=domain.coop Finding a writeable DC for domain 'domain.coop' Found DC DC.domain.coop Password for [DOMAIN\username]: workgroup is

issues with krige function
Greetings all, Ran into a strange problem with the krige function from geoR. The problem that I am having is that while the krige function seems to work well, the resulting predicted values are all NAs. Given the size of the datasets I am working with can't attach it, but I can provide snippets of the datasets. > casedata station year month day obs mpe bias type

OpenSSH / Kerberos / AFS
I just wrote an email describing problems linking to libkafs in openssh 3/daily snap shot as of today, but I think I forgot to describe what the problem was- well first it says 'cannot find file or directory' on -lkafs, for some reason it wasnt reading the directory even though- even though i added the correct dir to ld.so.conf (linux) so I cp'd the files to another directory where I

sapply to bind columns, with repeat?
Hi R-help, I am working with US COOP network station data and the files are concatenated in single rows for all years, but I need to pull these apart into rows for each day. To do this, I need to extract part of each row such as station id, year, mo, and repeat this against other variables in the row (days). My problem is that there are repeated values for each day, and the files are fixed width

contour(): lines & labels in different colours?
Greetings, All! I want to draw contour lines in red, using contour(), but also have the contour labels (for the level-values) in black so that they will stand out against a coloured background already generated using filled.contour() (the background shades from green at low levels of "risk" to red at high levels). In any case, contour labels in red are already somewhat inconspicuous

OpenSSH and support for KTH-Krb4
Hello, I have tried to compile openssh-3.1p1 and then two later snapshots. It seems that I can not have support for KTH-Krb4, according to this errorlist from make: gcc -o ssh ssh.o sshconnect.o sshconnect1.o sshconnect2.o sshtty.o readconf.o clientloop.o -L. -Lopenbsd-compat/ -R/usr/local/ssl/lib -L/usr/local/ssl/lib -L/usr/local/lib -R/usr/local/lib -L/usr/athena/lib -R/usr/athena/lib -lssh

sort data.frame and contour()
Dear all, I would like to know if there is a function for sorting a data.frame based on one column. sort() does it for a single vector but not for the whole data. order() does it if there are relations between the columns but in my case it is simply a data.frame. Further, I would like to plot other data, pop.size<- c(800, 800, 1500, 1000, 158, 300, 740, 250, 2000, 1500, 250, 700)

R-alpha: image(): minor bug in R code and helpfile (fixes)
I've noticed a few minor annoyances/mismatches with S in image(). First, if you give it just a matrix argument (image(z)), it complains rather than (as S does) using default x and y. This patch fixes it to work (mostly) like S (although in keeping with what was in R already the default x,y coordinates are ((0,1),(0,1)) rather than (1:nrow,1:ncol)). 5,16d4 < if(is.list(x)) {

boot statictic fn for dual estimation of 2 stats?
Hi, I am trying to use boot() to refit an ordinal logit (polr in MASS) model. (A very basic bootstrap which samples from the data frame without replacement and updates the model.) I need to extract two statistics per run (the coefficients and zeta) and I tried concatenating them into a single vector after fitting, but I get the following error: Error in "[<-"(*tmp*, r, ,

Solaris 2.6, and AFS
With the help of Jan Iven I have been able to compile openssh-2.9.9p2 on Solaris 2.6 with AFS/kerb4 support using gcc. ./configure --sysconfdir=/etc/ssh --with-tcp-wrappers \ --with-egd-pool=/var/run/egd-pool \ --with-kerberos4=/usr/athena --with-afs=/usr/afsws to do this I modified the resulting Makefile, from: CPPFLAGS=-I. -I$(srcdir) -I/usr/local/ssl/include

contour() labels (PR#441)
R-0.99.0a now plots contour labels from contour(), but the values in levels seem to be coerced to integer. contour(): Thickness contour labels
Hi, I want to display some contour labels. It works well, but the thickness of the label is to low. I tried the "labcex" command contour(x,y,z, labcex=2) But only the size is rising and not the thickness of labels. Only if i set the value to "labcex=10" the thickness is good, but the size is to big, so i can't see anything ;) Is there any command to rise the thickness

Building openssh-3.5p1 with new DES functions
Hi, I've installed openssl-0.9.7 and now am testing current openssh-cvs. The kerberosIV installation has it's own libdes.a. I'm quite please openssh built successfully, congratulations! Unfortunately, kerberos autentication is not tried at all. As far as I remeber, Ja Iven who wrote some patch, which as he said got into 3.5p1 also removed the ifdef's that --with-privsep no longer
