Tick marks that correspond with bars on barplot
Hello all,
I have created a barplot that shows change in hardwood/softwood density from 1965 to 2005 in 5 year periods (1965,1970, etc). I would like to have an X-axis where the labels for the years line up after every two bars in the plot (there is one bar for hardwood, and another for softwood). Below is my script:
density<-read.table("F:\\Megan\\Vtest.csv", header=TRUE,

gap.boxplot error message?
Hello,
When I put in the following script line:
gap.boxplot(CLI3, CLI4, CLI5, CLI6, CLI7, gap=list(top=c(8000,280000), bottom=c(0,250)), range=50, outline=TRUE, par(ask=FALSE)
I get a '+' telling me I am missing something. I have tried adding ')', 'width=NULL', etc and then I get this error:

find most repeated item from column in dataframe
R users,
I am trying to find some way to find the value of a column that is repeated
the most for each StandID of a dataframe. I have research methods online
and the help page, but have had no success in finding a solution. I have
tried using the table function but it returns items for the whole dataset
and not by the StandID. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Line Breaks and Axis breaks..
Hello all,
I have two questions. One probably has a very simple answer but I have checked the FAQ, other websites and still have not found an answer. I am new to using R. My very simple question is how to do line breaks when creating an axis title (xlab) ? I have a few that are too long and they get cut off... I found on the internet the "/n" function but I think I must be using it

changing scale range after an axis break
Hello,
I am constructing a boxplot but have a very wide range of values (zero - ~28000). I have placed an axis break at the 8000 mark but would like to have a different scale above the break that ranges from 8000-28000. Right now my axis is so large that the boxplots are only represented as lines with the outliers above. Does anyone know where I could find code that explains how to do this?

Using RODBC to use SQL queries
Hello,
I am new to the RODBC package, but I have looked over the PDF as well as a few websites that go over the SQL language. I can connect to my database fine using
>channel<-odbcConnect("Oracle ODBC")
# then am prompted to enter my user id and password
After that I'd like to use the odbcQuery function and the SQL statement:
SELECT * FROM table_name WHERE SAMPLE_YEA LIKE

I have taken an example wherein, using Ajax, the values of a second
combobox are populated by a change in the primary combobox. The code
is shown below.
I realise it will seem as though I am asking someone to write the code
for me, BUT, can someone please show me, by way of an example how to
amend my index.rhtml below to use, say a radio button group instead of
a combobox, wherein when you change

How should I improve the following R code?
I'm looking for a way to improve code that's proven to be inefficient.
Suppose that a data source generates the following table every minute:
Index Count

0 234
1 120
7 11
30 1
I save the tables in the following CSV format:
time,index,count
0,0:1:7:30,234:120:11:1
1,0:2:3:19,199:110:87:9
That is, each line represents a table, and I

I have a problem which I think you might be able to help. I have a dataframe which I'm trying to "filter" following different groups I specified. It's a little hard to explain, so here is an example:

[PATCH 0/4] Configure Power Sensors
The power sensors can be configured to sample the readout values over time.
Nvidia does this too, so nouveau should probably do that too.

loading lme4 fails - "function 'cholmod_l_start' not provided by package 'Matrix'"
Hello UseRs,
I've just tried to load the lme4 package and got the error message, "function 'cholmod_l_start' not provided by package 'Matrix'". I downloaded the latest version of lme4 and its required packages (lattice and Matrix) as suggested in the archives and still got this message. The FAQ and archives suggested to check the R version requirements, but I'm

[PATCH RFC] drm/nouveau: fix memory leak in nvkm_iccsense_oneinit
struct pw_rail_t is allocated as an array in function nvios_iccsense_parse,
and stored to a struct member of local variable. However, the array is not
freed when the local variable becomes invalid, and the reference is not
passed on, leading to a memory leak.
Fix this by freeing struct pw_rail_t when exiting nvkm_iccsense_oneinit.

lctl ping of Pacemaker IP
Greetings!
I am working with Lustre-2.1.2 on RHEL 6.2. First I configured it
using the standard defaults over TCP/IP. Everything worked very
nicely usnig a real, static --mgsnode=a.b.c.x value which was the
actual IP of the MGS/MDS system1 node.
I am now trying to integrate it with Pacemaker-1.1.7. I believe I
have most of the set-up completed with a particular exception. The

[PATCH v4 0/3] Expose power budget cap via hwmon
There is an optinal header field in the power budget table we can use to
read out the power cap of the GPU.
The meaning of this header field was confirmed with nvidia-smi -q:
The rows "Min Power Limit", "Power Limit" and "Max Power Limit" are set
to the "min", "avg" and "max" values from the referenced power budget
entry respectively.

Generalized Linear Model
Hello,
I am trying to run a generalized linear model but do not know where to
begin. I have attached my data to R but do not know where to go from there.
I have two independent variables (each has two factors associated with them)
and two dependent variables, each with either a yes/no response which I've
valued either 0 or 1 in the data set. Any input would be greatly
appreciated.

[PATCH 0/3] Expose power budget cap via hwmon
There is an optinal header field in the power budget table we can use to
read out the power cap of the GPU.
We should have this in the kernel before actually using it to catch errors
and see how reliable this is, but as it seems it works on all GPUs as
expected on Kepler und Maxwells with the power cap field set in the vbios.
This series keeps things really simple for now until we figure out
