Analyzing an unbalanced AB/BA cross-over design
I am looking for help to analyze an unbalanced AB/BA cross-over design by
requesting the type III SS !

Subsetting to unique values
I want to take the first row of each unique ID value from a data frame.
For instance
> ddTable <-
data.frame(Id=c(1,1,2,2),name=c("Paul","Joe","Bob","Larry"))
I want a dataset that is
Id Name
1 Paul
2 Bob
> unique(ddTable)
Will give me all 4 rows, and
> unique(ddTable$Id)
Will give me c(1,2), but not accompanied by the name column.

OpenSSH 4.0p1 segfaults on keyboard-interactive login
Hi folks,
I've compiled the new OpenSSH 4.0p1 on my Linux box running
Fedora Core 2 (kernel 2.6.10) the same way as I did with 3.9p1
and all previous versions.
Key-based login works fine, but if I login from a host that
require me to enter my login password (keyboard-interactive),
then the sshd child process segfaults.
Don't know if this is specific to my system or to Linux in
general.

Find the flow data from its accumulation of the panel data
Hi,
I have the panel data of income statement of several banks. The date
9803 means 1998-Q1, 9806 means 1998-Q2, etc. I transform the date code to 1
(for 1998Q1), 2 (for 1998Q2), ...., 16 (for 2011Q4) where 1, 2, .... are
placed in Col1.
Now the income statement of a specific quarter is actually the
accumulation from the beginning of the year. For example, the cost data of
1999Q3 is the

Broken IMAPS Connects Create Lingering imap-login Processes
Hello everyone,
we are running a central server (CentOS 6.5, dovecot-2.0.9-7.el6 with a
small patch to disable the IMAP CREATE command, and
openssl-1.0.1e-16.el6_5.7) and distribute standard client software to
customer( site)s.
The clients do IMAPS connects in regular intervals (no IDLE, no
lingering logins) and authenticate with certs issued by a dedicated PKI

Error messages? or what
I've been seeing this kind of crap now for some time, and only in the
past couple of weeks did I realize I was using the Plus Kernel instead
of the normal stock kernel. Could this have something to do with it?
Messages also appear mentioning something about a PowerNow K-8, which I
thought was something you'd see from an AMD processor, not a quad core
intel 64 bit box. Any insight

Help understanding some benchmark results
G''day, all,
So, I''ve decided to migrate my home server from Linux+swRAID+LVM to Solaris+ZFS, because it seems to hold much better promise for data integrity, which is my primary concern.
However, naturally, I decided to do some benchmarks in the process, and I don''t understand why the results are what they are. I though I had a reasonable understanding of ZFS, but now

ggplot2, geomtile fill assignment
Dear R help,
I have some readings in three dimensions (x, y, z) and an amplitude for
each. I'd like to visualize the data using ggplot, using tile plots, as I
have some additional point data I would like to eventually overlay on the
tile plots.
I would like to subset the data by sections, slices if you will, in the z
dimension, and plot the data for that slice.
I can do all of this, but am
