How to plot several years data with date information by months?
Hi, all I have a medium sized data, 6 years. Each observation is a case with a date variable, such as '2004-08-02'. Some of the months didn't occur a case. I want to plot the 6 years data by month, and the Y_axis is the freqency of cases for each month, meaning 12*6=72 bars or points in the figure. I though of a method, 1st, using the months function, then ploting. But I need to

Using image/contour with unevenly spaced data...
Is it possible to plot unevenly spaced data with image/contour function? Below is an example of the type uneven data that I'm trying to plot with image/contour functions. hist - unevenly spaced bars
I am sure this is trivial, but I cannot solve it. I make a histogram. There are 5 categories "1",...,"5" and 80 values and the histogram does not evenly space the bars. Anyone familiar with pymol? We're getting an error I find references to from a few years ago when we try to run remotely on a headless server. spacing of color key in filled.contour
Hi all I'm plotting colored contour maps using filled.contour. My levels are very unevenly spaced, with, say, high resolution in the small numbers but ranges that can be an order of magnitude or two larger in absolute value compared to where the action takes place. Aside from transforming the data, is there a way to control the color spacing in the key to the right of the map? Right now I
