R 2.12.0 in Fedora Updates Testing
R 2.12.0 is built now for Fedora and EPEL. It is in "updates-testing" (or it will be within the next 24 hours). I did not do this build for Fedora 12, as that release will be End-Of-Life in a month. In accordance with the new policies on Fedora Updates, these new packages will not be pushed as official updates until they either receive positive testing from users, or sit in

installing R-2.1.0 from source on Fedora Core 3 with tclt k
On my FC3 for x86_64 (Athlon64 3000+) at home, R-patched from today compiled just fine, and tcltk works. The version of tcl, tcl-devel, tk and tk-devel are all 8.4.7-2. The RPM for Fedora Core 2 seems to work just fine on Core 3. (The graphics window got smaller, but I'm sure there is a setting for that.) installing R-2.1.0 from source on Fedora Core 3 with tcltk
I installed from source on Fedora Core 3 starting with the command ./configure --prefix=/usr --with-tcltk (The --with-tcltk may not be necessary, but there seems to be some correlation between using it and getting it to work.) It would not compile with tcltk, even though I had both tcl and tk rpms installed. Various fooling around let me to get

Fedora Core 4
I had installed R from source on Fedora Core 3. Then I upgraded to Fedora Core 4, but left R alone. R worked fine, until I trued to update.packages(). Even then, many packages updated just fine, but two of them, cluster and mgcv, failed with the following error message (using cluster as an example): gcc -shared -L/usr/local/lib -o cluster.so clara.o daisy.o dysta.o fanny.o meet.o mona.o pam.o

Dom0 won''t come up, Fedora 9
Trying to get Xen going on Fedora 9. Xen was installed from the distro RPMs. Xen version is 3.2.0 and the linux-xen version is 2.6.25.3. Xen seems to come up fine, but the system just hangs at the point where booting of Dom0 should start. There is absolutely no output from Dom0. I configured Xen to log to a serial port and captured the output below. Any suggestions on how to continue

problems compiling packages | 3.3.0 | Linux
Apologies if this email is a top post. I'm not sure how to reply to a thread if I'm not subscribed. We recently encountered the same issue that Evan reported on 6/4 and I can confirm that updated to 3.3.0-5 does address the build failure. Will 3.3.0-5 make it into EPEL? If so, do you have any idea when? The current package is breaking our build process and I'm wondering if it's

installing R on Fedora Core 2 test 2
Just a report for those who want to try this. (Executive summary: It eventually worked.) The RPM for Fedora Core 1 did not work because it wanted libtcl8.3.so and libtk8.3.so, while this distribution had 8.4 instead of 8.3. I didn't try making soft links, thus pretending that it had 8.3. (I'm planning to install the final version of Core 2 when it comes out soon. This is a computer I

How to install libvirt 0.9.4 RPM on Fedora 14?
Hi, I'm trying to install the newest version of libvirt and libvirt-client from the rpms at ftp://libvirt.org/libvirt/ on a Fedora 14 machine. The naming of the rpms as "libvirt-0.9.4-1.fc14.x86_64.rpm" suggests that this is exactly the system this was made for, however, installation still does not go smoothly. When I try to install these packages with yum install

wordStem problems in R 2.9, Fedora 11; Linux Kernel 2.6.29.5-191.fc11.i586
Dear All, I just updated from Fedora 9 to Fedora 11, kernel version 2.6.29.5-191.fc11.i586. I'm running R 2.9. I successfully installed package Rstem from source (it always ran fine for me in F9). However: > wordStem(c("This","is","a","test")) Error in wordStem(c("This", "is", "a", "test")) : VECTOR_ELT()

Cell or PS3 Port
Hello, I am interested in optimizing some of R's vector math functions to utilize the SPE units of the Cell processor (commonly found in the Playstation 3) and I am wondering if anyone has already done any work in that area. I can't find anything using the search page or Google. (Admittedly it is difficult to search for information on a one-letter-named programming language whose

AddressSanitizer on SPECCPU2006
Hi I am using SanitizerCoverage feature supported by clang to get the basicblock coverage. my tested binaries are spec cpu2006. I compiled the binary with the option COPTIMIZE = -O0 -fsanitize=address -fsanitize-coverage=bb -flto -fno-strict-aliasing -std=gnu89 -gdwarf-3 After the compiling process is end. I run the 400.perlbench. with the command ASAN_OPTIONS=coverage=1 ./perlbench.

AddressSanitizer on SPECCPU2006
Hi Alex Thanks for your email. But it seems not work. I removed the -fsanitize=address flag. The global buffer overflow message doesn't show. However, no *.sancov file is created after I run perlbench. Thus, I could not get the BB coverage. Do you have any ideas? Many Thanks Regards Muhui Alexander Potapenko <glider at google.com> 于2018年9月5日周三 下午7:14写道: > Hi Muhui, > > If

I ran out of gas by looking through google also... :-( With Best Regards YS
