ERROR: cannot allocate vector of size?
I've looked through all of the posts about this issue (and there are plenty!) but I am still unable to solve the error. ERROR: cannot allocate vector of size 455 Mb I am using R 2.6.2 - x86_64 on a Linux x86_64 Redhat cluster system. When I log in, based on the specs I provide [qsub -I -X -l arch=x86_64] I am randomly assigned to a x86_64 node. I am using package GenABEL. My data (~ 650,000

reshaping data
I have the following data (see RawData using dput below) How do I get it in the following 3 column format (CO2 measurements are the elements of the original data frame). I'm sure the package reshape is where I should look, but I haven't figured out how. 3d scatter plot with drop line
This is a follow up to my question from yesterday. I want to do in R what is called a "3d scatter plot with drop lines" in S-PLUS. Basically, it's a 3dscatterplot with lines connecting the x-y grid to the z points. The lines give a better perspective on the shape of the data surface. How to? Joel Bremson UC Davis Statistics

multi-regression with more than 50 independent variables
Hi R Users, I am going to run a multiple linear regression with around 57 independent variables. Each time I run the model with just 11 variables, the results are reasonable. With increasing the number of independent variables more than 11, the coefficients will get ?NA? in the output. Is there any limitation for the number of independent variables in multiple linear regressions in R? I attached

Estimating IRT models by using nlme() function
Hi, I have a question about estimating IRT models by using nlme, not just rasch model, but also other models.
