Error in combined for() and if() code
Hello,
I am trying to filter a data set like below so that the peaks in the Phase
value are more obvious and can be identified by a peak finding function
following the useful advise of Carl Witthoft. I have written the following
for(i in length(data$Phase)){
newphase=if(abs(data$Phase[i+1]-data$Phase[i])>6){
data$Phase[i+1]
}else{data$Phase[i]
}
}
I get the following error which I have not

rcspline.plot query
Dear all,
As I am new to the R community - although eager to advance- I would
like to pose a question to the community.
I have an SPSS file which I have imported it in R (with the read.spss
command) which conists of scale (continuous) variable "adiponectin" and
the corresponding categorical value "death" (0=No, 1=Yes). In all there
are 60 observations (among which

Confidence Intervals on Standard Curve
Hi, I wonder if anyone could advise me with this:
I've been trying to make a standard curve in R with lm() of some
standards from a spectrophotometer, so as I can express the curve as a
formula, and so obtain values from my treated samples by plugging in
readings into the formula, instead of trying to judge things by eye,
with a curve drawn by hand.
It is a curve and so I used the

Plot polygon in 3D with rgl
Dear R-helpers, an rgl-ers in particular,
what is the easiest way to plot a section of a plane in 3D, that is
given by the xyz coordinates of the outline?
Suppose I have a polygon - which I know for sure is a set of
coordinates on the same plane. One method I found is to use surf.tri
from the geometry package, and then plot the triangles with
rgl.triangles. This method is not perfect though,

Approximating discrete distribution by continuous distribution
Dear all,
I have a discrete distribution showing how age is distributed across a
population using a certain set of bands:
Age <- matrix(c(74045062, 71978405, 122718362, 40489415), ncol=1,
dimnames=list(c("<18", "18-34", "35-64", "65+"),c()))
Age_dist <- Age/sum(Age)
For example I know that 23.94% of all people are between 0-18 years, 23.28%

wireframe advice - with reproducible code
Dear List,
i am trying to produce a 3d plot using wireframe using the code:
wireframe(Residuals_FD ~ Elevation * Temperature, data = data2, scales = list(arrows = FALSE), drape = TRUE, colorkey = TRUE)
As you can see when the code (using the data below) is run the plot area is set-up correctly but the actual surface is missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

summary(lm(x~y)) difference between R-2.2.1 and R-2.3.0
Hi
[macOSX 10.4.6; R-2.3.0]
I have encountered a difference in behaviour between R-2.2.1 and
R-2.3.0 when
performing a linear model. Transcript follows for R-2.3.0 (R-2.2.1
worked as
expected). How to make R-2.3.0 perform as R-2.2.1 did?

Problem with rpart
I work on Windows, R version 2.4.1. I'm very new with R!
I am trying to build a classification tree using rpart but, although the
matrix has 108 variables, the program builds a tree with only one split
using one variable! I know it is probable that only one variable is
informative, but I think it's unlikely. I was wondering if someone can help
me identify if I'm doing something

Slow RAID Check/high %iowait during check after updgrade from CentOS 6.5 -> CentOS 7.2
All of our Kafka clusters are fairly write-heavy. The cluster in question is our second-heaviest ? we haven?t yet upgraded the heaviest, due to the issues we?ve been experiencing in this one.
Here is an iostat example from a host within the same cluster, but without the RAID check running:

[Profiling][FFT][AArch64] FFT Profiling data on AArch64
Hi everyone,
I have profiled Opus on AArch64. I just run opus_demo with some pcm files.
Following is time proportion of FFT with different bitrate.
Bitrate | Time cost by FFT/iFFT
24kb/s | 15%
48kb/s | 15%
96kb/s | 13%
Any comment? I want some data close to real application, any suggestion?
Thanks,
Phil Wang

source.
