The issue is fAsianOptions. Is there a version that works with the latest version of R? If not, which version of it works with which version of R and where can it be found? I tried several at the archive already. Alternatively, is there another package that behaves similarly to prob? Yes. That's the version I've been discussing that has non-zero exit status. That situation is why CRAN retired the prob package. It's possible you installed that library earlier in development and it's been "carried" along. It no longer installs, now. suppressing non-integer labels for plot x-axis
Dear R-helpers, I am having difficulty making R plot only integer labels on the x-axis of a simple graph. I want to plot the median values of a score on each of three occasions. Non-integer occasions are impossible. But, R keeps labelling the x-axis with half-occasions, despite my attempts to stop this using the "xaxs" and "xaxp" parameters of 'plot'. p1=c(1,2,3);

Yes, that is exactly what I was doing two days ago. Warning in install.packages : installation of package ?fAsianOptions_3010.79.tar.gz? had non-zero exit status Which is what a reading of the explanation for why "prob" was retired leads one to expect. Do you have some other suggestion about how to get it to work? I notice you're not using Windows which might have a relationship

Rtools is not available for the current version of R. What I'm looking for is an alternative package or how others have managed to create workarounds. datetime on x-axis of plot
Hello, I'm reading Time Series Analysis and its Applilcations with R Examples and I have a question... I notice that in the book there are timeseries plots but without the x-axis being labeled with dates. They are just numbers 1,...50,...100, etc. How do I get the date to show up on the x-axis? Putting 2 breaks on Y axis
R plotting experts: I have a bivariate dataset composed of 300 (x,y) continuous datapoints. 297 of these points are located within the y range of [0,10], while 2 are located at 20 and one at 55. No coding errors, real outliers. When plotting these data with a scatterplot, I obviously have a problem. If I plot the full dataset with ylim = c(0,55), then I cannot see the structure in the data in

Custom ticks on x axis when dates are involved
Hi, I have a set of irregular time series and i want to produce a simple plot, with dates on x axis and attribute value of y axis. This is simple enough but my x axis is divided automatically by ticks every 5 years. I would like to have a tick every year at January 1st. I am not sure how i can do that - i end up with something very close to what i want, but it is clunky and not very correct. I

HI @ all, I'm looking for a simple solution to supress the y-axis - but only the drawn scale - not the values. Only the numbers should be displayed. I tried yaxt="n" but there everything of the y-axis is supressed.
