Small Rcmdr issue
Just installed Rcmdr on a Linux box. When I exit from both Rcmdr and R together from the regular Rcmdr exit menu, it leaves my xterm with "stty -echo", so that nothing that is typed appears. If I exit only Rcmdr, and then exit R normally, everything is okay (stty echo). Other than that minor irritant, everything seems to work just fine. Linux 2.6.16-gentoo-r3 Athlon 64 X2 3800+ R

as.day() Function (zoo question)
I am was going to look at the as.yearmon function in the zoo package and write a as.day function to aggregate a time series of 96 observations per day into the mean for each day, but I don't know how to look at the code so that I can convert it into something I can use. Find out the day of week for a chron object?

merge zoo objects contained in a list
I would like to merge zoo objects that are stored in a list into one big zoo object with one index for all of the observations. I have created the list (74 dataframes) with the code below, and have tried the do.call(merge, foo) in the call and the output is not what I expected. Any help would be greatly appreciated. tics and grids
Hi, Whats the easiest way to set a desired interval for tics on axes in R ? And will the 'grid' command put gridlines on all tics automatically ? I tend to get stuck with graphs with ranges 0-1 with only 2 tics and 2 gridlines in the 0-1 range, while I would like 10 tics (or every 0.1) tnx, Piet please reply to pvremortNOSPAM at vub.ac.be

Bug on chron
hello I think I've found a bug I don't know if it's a chron bug or a R one. (05/12/05 23:00:00) +1/24 gives (05/12/05 24:00:00) instead of (05/13/05 00:00:00) it looks like the same but it's not because when you get the date of this datetime it says day 12 instead of 13. day of the year for chron objects
Hi! Is not there an standard R function to retrieve the day of the year (since 1st Jan of the same year)? I know I can make my own using julian, but find it weird that having days(), months() etc doy() does not exist as an standard function. ubuntu system refuses to update packages
