Please post general R help questions to the R-help mailing list. The likely problem here is that your file isn't in the current working directory. To avoid this problem, I often use the file.choose() function to obtain a full path to the file, rather than typing the name out myself. Hi everybody, I want to write some text in a plot. That's simple I know. But I want to make use of different colors. Eg. text(x,y,paste("Sunderland","high")). Then Sunderland should be black and "high" red. Has anyone an idea? By the way. I'm looking for a function or something similar, that can check whether there is text in some regions on the plot.

To whom it may concern. As I would like to analyse some array data I was keen on downloading the lumi package that depends obviously on hdrcde that is not available for r 2.12.1. I did not find instructions to solve or circumvent this problem. Installing hdrcde by hand did not work either. It was not detected by > (.packages(all.available=TRUE)) if installed in the R library.
