Got SIP response 400 "Bad Request" back from
Hi,
I have an Asterisk 1.8.2.3 installed (public IP) with a peer (Polycom
IP601) installed behind NAT.
When the peer makes a call, it's working without any problem. But when a
call is coming back, it ends up with a Got SIP response 400 "Bad
Request" back from xx.xx.xx.xx where the xx.xx.xx.xx is the public IP of
the peer. And the call drops to the voicemail (congestion at peer

FFA - Asterisk 1.6.2.6
Hi,
I have a 1.6.2.6 fax installation with a FFA license which seems to be
installed correctly (in fax show stats, I see that I have 1 Digium
G.711 licensed channel, and 1 Digium T.38 licensed channel).
When trying to call my business line with a fax machine, it looks like
it's ringing to my asterisk box, then transfer the call to my extension.
In the logs, I see (after the line where

Turning off "Fixed Duplicates" feature
Is there a way to disable this feature? Seems to be causing more harm then
good right now. Without getting into too much details it is fixing the
duplcates but it does not remove the old file, and the new file it creates
is not marked as read like the old one was. I understand that this problem
can be created by multiple rsyncs and files changing in between, but is
there any way that I can

Must be easy, but haven't found the function (numerical integration)
Hi,
I have a data frame of 2 columns with the following types :
data$day char
data$value num
And I plot my data with :
plot(strptime(donnees$day,format="%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S"),donnees$value,
type="l")
And I'd just like to get the numerical value of the integration of this
graph.
I looked at ?integrate but, as far as I understood (that is, not very much,
due to my poor

dovecot transaction log permissions
So after some problems with NFS and transaction logs getting corrupted.
Im tyring out storing them localy. via..
mail_location: maildir:~/Maildir:INDEX=/var/dovecot/indexes/%u
the problem is with a large amount of users.. the indexes dir becomes
huge with this setup. So a change to make this better is...
mail_location: maildir:~/Maildir:INDEX=/var/dovecot/indexes/%d/%n
to seperate the users

multiple nls - next fit even after convergence problem
Hello R-gurus,
I'm trying to adjust different growth curves to a rather extensive dataset.
I wrote up a function to go through all of them, but am encountering a problem :
among the more than 1000 curves I have, obviously for some of them I encounter conversion problems.
I'd like for my function to keep going to the next curve and store the fact that for curve number X I had a convergence

Strange behaviour when joining the domain
Just installed a new SAMBA-LDAP-PDC server on my network. I followed
the Linux Samba-OpenLDAP Howto, revision 20060710, so I would assume my
setup is correct.
My LDAP setup is a master/slave setup. The master is on a remote server,
and the lave is local. When joining the domain (WinXP), it sometimes
takes three-four times to be able to reach the domain(user administrator

Call to trellis.focus(); thenpanel.superpose()
The following works fine with the x11 device, though it
may well be that an initial plot is overwritten. With a pdf
or postscript device, I get two plots, the first of which
still has the red border from having the focus, while the
second is the plot that I want.
library(lattice); library(grid)
plt <- xyplot(uptake ~ conc, groups=Plant, data=CO2)
print(plt)

Splom custom superpanels
I thought one nice addition to a splom figure would be to have the
scatterplots in the upper triangle and a color-coordinated
correlation matrix on the bottom. So I tried my hand at customizing
panel.pairs(), and was rebuffed. Many times. Four hours of
fruitless debugging later, I turn to you for help:
panel.pairs(z=teststatfull[,6:12], pscales=0,
panel.subscripts=FALSE, subscripts=,

corrupted transaction log errors causing users mail to disappear temporarily
So Ive been looking into some problems with users reporting their mail
goes missing for a second but then re-apears very soon after. I have
tracked it down to happening at the same time these appear in the logs.
Seems the transaction logs is getting corrupted somehow and then
rebuilding itself (which works fine). The problem is while its re-builing
the users think all of their mail is gone.

Problem with save or/and if (I think but maybe not ...)
Hi,
I recently discovered the R program and I thought it could be useful to me.
I have to analyse data saved as .Px file (x between 0 and 8 - .P0 files have
18 lines at the beginning that I have to skip). New files are generated
everyday.
This is my strategy :
In order to analyse the data, I first want to copy the new data in a
database in MySQL (which already contains the previous data).
So

ks.test
Hello,
I want to do normality test on my data
I write this but I don't understand the display of the results
ks.test(data,"pnorm")
In fact I want to know if my data is a normal distribution. I have to check the p-value or D?
Thanks.

linear regression: Is there a way to get the results of lm as variables
Hi R users
I used R to get the results of a linear regression

here are the results:

multcomp, simint, simtest and computation duration
Dear R-listers,
I am trying to compute simultaneous confidence intervals with simint from the package multcomp. 230 measures (abundance) have been taken in 23 sites (factor) of a data.frame (donnees: a file can be sent on request, saved with save(donnees, file="donnees")). I would like to get all pairwise comparisons with :
mc<- simint(ren~ID,type="Tukey",data=donnees)

1.6 and asterisk gui
Hello,
I'm new to asterisk and this list. The ISO download appears to have
1.6 with the FreePBX GUI but I am looking to use the Asterisk GUI.
The only option for the Asterisk GUI is to use 1.4. Is it as simple
as installing 1.6 only then using the yum repository to install the
Asterisk GUI? If so, what packages are needed?
Thanks!

how to write legend of a plot
Dear R Users,
If we issue simple plot command in R we don't get legend of the plot
automatically.
For example, following lines plots two curves, but to write a legend of
these two curves there is no simple command. I checked with ?legend but
it seems bit complicated for me. Does anyone know how to get a legend in a
simple way for following R plot.
Thanks, Yogesh

Problems using allEffects() (package effect)
Dear R users,
I have some trouble using the allEffects() function to compute and
display effect plots for a linear model.
My data is quite simple, it concerns effects of 3 treatments on the
tumoral volume of mice. vTum codes for the qualitative initial volume,
from small to big, temps is the time in month since beginning of
treatment, and S?rie codes for the batch. Data is unbalanced.

get the wald chi square in binary logistic regression
hello,
I work since a few time on R and i wanted to know how to obtain the Wald chi
square value when you make a binary logistic regression. In fact, i have the z
value and the signification but is there a script to see what is the value of
Wald chi square. You can see my model below,
