Problem Reading from .txt
I apologize that I've asked a similar question before, but being new to
R I don't think I did a very good job of formating the question.
I've included a text file since the date set is somewhat large.
What I have is a huge string of numbers in a text file. The numbers are
all separated by comma's and the groups are separated by a semicolon.
What I would like to do is read each

Hope someone could help me.
I am trying to run automatically the conversion of an Rwn file to a tex
file.
I am using windows 7, and cygwin.
I tried to run automatically the Sweave.sh script, in its the most
recent version available at R webpage:

Unfortunately, I got this error message:

Moving average in a data table
Hi,
I'm trying to figure out common approach on calculating MA on a dataset
that contains column "time".
After digging around, I believe functions rollmean and rollaply should
be used.
However I don't quite understand the requirements for the underlying data.
Should it be zoo object type? Formatted in a special way?
As an example, I'm looking to get calculated

plot p(Y=1) vs as
I am trying to fit a logistic regression model for this data set.
Firstly, I want to plot P(Y=1) vs As and P(Y=1) vs Aa.
Does any body know how to do these in R.
Thanks,
Aimin

Extrapolating values from a glm fit
Dear R-help,
I have fitted a glm logistic function to dichotomous forced choices
responses varying according to time interval between two stimulus. x values
are time separation in miliseconds, and the y values are proportion
responses for one of the stimulus. Now I am trying to extrapolate x values
for the y value (proportion) at .25, .5, and .75. I have tried several
predict parameters, and they

longitudinal imputation with PAN
Hello all,
I am working on a longitudinal study of children in the UK and trying the PAN package for imputation of missing data, since it fulfils the critical criteria of taking into account individual subject trend over time as well as population trend over time. In order to validate the procedure I have started by deleting some known values ?we have 6 annual measures of height on 300 children

mdbox Inconsistency in map index
After a (power)crash two accounts have been corrupted.
I tried to rescue things by running force-resync multiple times, but
that didn't work out.
Searching the archives, I found a recent suggestion (by Timo) to delete
the index files, but I'm not sure which files to delete and what the
consequences will be.
When I deleted ``storage/dovecot.map.index'' in an unimportant account

glm() function not finding the maximum
Hello,
I have found a problem with using the glm function with a gamma
family.
I have a vector of data, assumed to be generated by a gamma distribution.
The parameters of this gamma distribution are estimated in two ways (i)
using the glm() function, (ii) "by hand", using the optim() function.
I find that the -2*likelihood at the maximum found by (i) is substantially
larger than that

how to identify values from a column of a dataframe, and insert them in other data.frame with the corresponding id?
Hello,
I’d like to do next, see if you could help me please:
I have a csv called “datuak” with a id called “calee_id” and a colunm called “poids”.
I have another csv called “datuak2” with the same id called “calee_id”, (although there are “calee_id” that are in “datuak” but not in “datuak2” and inverse), and a column called “kg_totales” in which the values are repeteated for each calee_id

false low battery alarm
Hi,
I have two types of UPS devices and one of them (APC) gave me a false "low battery" alert. I can't reproduce the problem... Also, there was nothing apparently wrong with the UPS at the time of the false alert. All I could do was grab the driver values within a minute after the "low battery" notification.
These are the values:
battery.runtime.low : 120

wireframe advice - with reproducible code
Dear List,
i am trying to produce a 3d plot using wireframe using the code:
wireframe(Residuals_FD ~ Elevation * Temperature, data = data2, scales = list(arrows = FALSE), drape = TRUE, colorkey = TRUE)
As you can see when the code (using the data below) is run the plot area is set-up correctly but the actual surface is missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[storage-discuss] high read iops - more memory for arc?
Pre-fletching on the file and device level has been disabled yielding good results so far. We''ve lowered the number of concurrent ios from 35 to 1 causing the service times to go even lower (1 -> 8ms) but inflating actv (.4 -> 2ms).
I''ve followed your recommendation in setting primarycache to metadata. I''ll have to check with our tester in the morning if it made

high read iops - more memory for arc?
I''m running into a issue where there seems to be a high number of read iops hitting disks and physical free memory is fluctuating between 200MB -> 450MB out of 16GB total. We have the l2arc configured on a 32GB Intel X25-E ssd and slog on another32GB X25-E ssd.
According to our tester, Oracle writes are extremely slow (high latency).
Below is a snippet of iostat:
