Rails 0.10.1and WEBrick
Doesn''t appear to work with WEBrick. Works find with Apache/FastCGI. Something wrong in the way Rails is trying to process paths from the WEBrick server. If I try to send in http://localhost:3000/recipes/new, WEBrick is interpreting /new as my controller, instead of my action.

Does anyone know if someone has created a popup calendar helper for selecting dates? The current way in rails with the multiple selects is cumbersome at best, and I didn''t see any calendar type helpers in there.

Postgresql vs MySQL
Is there any reason to avoid using postgresql for small web apps? That is, is it''s overhead so large that the lighter MySQL will work substantially better for small apps on small machines? Or are they very similar in performance and configuration? I''ve used MySQL but postgresql has its appeals and I''m wondering if I need to keep MySQL around at all. On the other

How to clear sessions with cron?
Anyone got a quick code snippet I can add to my crontab? Since Rails doesn''t do any housekeeping, my /tmp directory just keeps getting fatter and fatter. I found this useless snippet in the Agile book: find /tmp/ -name ''ruby_sess*'' -ctime +12h -delete Fedora Linux complains about the ''h'' in 12h, then if you remove the ''h'' he

session temp files?
I''m running a simple WEBrick server for a small rails website. I probably get less than 100 hits per hour. I just looked in /tmp on the server and there are over 10,000 ruby_sess.* temp files containing: " hash{" flashIC:''ActionController::Flash::FlashHash{: @used{ They''ve piled up so much that I can''t even rm -f ruby*. Bash complains

I just notices my app was down, and in the log file were lots of these: No space left on device - ../config/../tmp/sessions//ruby_sess.898b1cf95e14f8e3 So i figured that i had too many sessions. I went through and deleted the sessions and then in a few minutes, the site was back up again. Can anyone explain this? Did I do the right thing? Is there a way I can tell my app to accept more

Silhouette plot labels in package cluster
Hello everybody: I have just started using R, specifically the clustering packages. Despite the vastness of the functionality of the system, I have found it very flexible and intuitive. It has been great fun to experiment with it. Nevertheless, I am under tight time constraints to complete a cluster analysis of some data and need to come up with a "quick" solution for the following
