Additional points to scatter plot show up at wrong place
Hi everyone, I have a problem with adding points to scatter plots. The plot is drawn with the scatterplot() function from the car library: scatterplot(data[,2] ~ data[,1], data=data,smooth=F,reg.line=F,xlim=c(0.5,1),ylim=c(0.5,1),ylab="ML",xlab="Freq",cex.lab=1.9,cex.axis=1.8) after that, I draw one line with abline(0,1,col="gray20") which works perfectly fine.

help a newbie with a loop
Hi, I am new in R and stumbled on a problem my (more experienced) friends can not help with with. Why isnt this code working? The function is working, also with the loop and the graph appears, only when I build another loop around it (for different values of p) , R stays in a loop? relative frequency plot
Hi All, I want to use "hist" to get the relative frequency plot. But the range of ylab is greater than 1,which I think it should be less than 1 since it stands for the probability. How to add space between main title to leave space for legend?

converting histogram to barchart
Hi list, After a lot of tweaking i have managed to create a histogram with an overlaying density plot. The histogram shows a sample of birth weights of babies and the density plot shows birth weights from a much larger reference populaton. My data is divided in 0.1 Kg bins so in the code below binweigh=0.1. The trouble with the current graph is that it is not very clear since the density plot

In R0.61, In hist(), should the line rel.freqs <- counts/(sum(x) * diff(breaks)) computing the relative frequencies or height of the rectangles in a histogram not be rel.freqs <- counts/(sum(counts) * diff(breaks)) instead, or do I misunderstand something? Switching the order of legend boxes in a lattice bar graph
I suspect there is a simple solution to this problem, but have been unable to find it. Below is some code that I have run to create 3 lattice graphs.
