Wine window not maximizing in Mac OS X
I recently got a new macbook pro 13", 2.4 Ghz, running Mac OS X 10.6.3. I am having trouble maximizing the Wine Desktop window that opens when I try running applications. It could be possible that the Wine window can't be stretched or made any bigger, but I'm not sure. If I try to make the window bigger by dragging the bottom right corner, the window gets larger, but it just adds a

how to run my R code in Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard
Hi, I have a question in running R 2.4.1 in the Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. I write all my R code without using any packages in R. When I run it in Windows system, it runs smoothly and correctly. Then I try to run the same code in Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. I just copy the script file on the desktop of the Mac OS X. I find I can open the file directly as a text file. To run R in Mac OS X, I type

printing graphics window on Mac OS 9.2
I'm a long time user of R, but I'm not a regular Mac user. I am now teaching in a room with a dozen Macs and I'm having a problem printing the graphics window. I'm using R 1.5.1 precompiled for Mac OS on Blue G3s with Mac OS 9.2. When I have the macintosh graphics device selected and use File, Print from the menu system, the OS attempts to print, but the machine hangs after a

[LLVMdev] Transparent LTO on Mac OS X
I'm confused. libLTO takes bitcode files as input and creates a native object file as output. Why would libLTO create bitcode as output? If so, you're changing the existing API contract. Or are you creating an out-of-band bitcode file, in which case the linker would never see it. ld doesn't have bitcode support, it has libLTO support, and libLTO is what processes the bitcode.

[LLVMdev] Transparent LTO on Mac OS X
Dear All, I'm trying to use transparent link-time optimization on Mac OS X. I've got Xcode 3.2 installed, and I'm trying to compile code with llvm-gcc -O4. However, I get the following error: gcc -O4 -o dftables .libs/dftables.o ld: warning: in .libs/dftables.o, file is not of required architecture Undefined symbols: "_main", referenced from: start in crt1.10.6.o

I try to synchronize from a Windows 2003 machine, using Cygwin and rsync 2.6.6 files and folder with ACCENT in their name to a Mac OS X 10.4 machine running rsync 2.6.3 as a daemon. 3 different problems happen : ***1. A bitcode format mismatch was the problem. I'm not sure if the problem stems from the fact that the bitcode was generated for the wrong architecture

Thai vignette, cross-compile for Mac OS X, universal/multiarch (Fwd: Mac OS X builds of CelQuantileNorm, vcftools/samtools/tabix, and snpStats)
FYI. There is a Thai vignette - and it went a lot further doing some Thai text processing in R, than the earlier Chinese/Tibetan/LiangshanYi/Arabic vignette, which was in reality just Chinese + Cairo graphics. Managed to cross-compile an R package for Mac OS X from Linux; and it seems to be working. See screenshots below. I'd be interested to know if there are less obvious bugs; however

cycling from x11 window in RCommander to graphics device window: Mac Os 10.6.8
Dear Colleagues, I have recently installed R Commander on my Mac OS 10.6.8. I'd like to use it for an undergraduate class this year. Everything appears to be working fine, except for one thing. I cannot use Command-tab to cycle from the X11 window in which RCommander is running to any other window open in my workspace. This is particularly important because I cannot cycle to the graphics

Plotting a linear model object with R 2.0 for Mac OS X
I'm using R for Mac OS X Aqua GUI version 2.0 When using plot() with a linear model object, the plot of the LSR line does not appear. I get the residual plots, the Normal Q-Q plots and Cook's Differnce plot, just not the first plot with the fitted line. I just get an empty Quartz window, with no graph displayed. I've even tried to use plot.lm() and plotting a glm object, but I get the

Problem linking libvorbisfile on Mac OS X
I'm working on getting the Darwin/Mac OS X port of Vorbis up and running again and have run into problems building libvorbisfile. I have installed the latest libtool (1.3.5) and modified it to handle Darwin/Mac OS X better (to create shared libraries, dylibs, that can be linked against other dylibs instead of creating bundles which cannot be used as input to the linker). But, when it tries

Rsync 3.0.0pre8 and Mac OS X
Hi, I tried Rsync 3.0.0pre8 on my mac running os X 10.5. I was very pleased about the --iconv feature, as i have to sync some LINUX-machines and I had really trouble with some filenames. But I found one strange thing in connection with the mac. First of all, the translation between the LINUX ISO-8859-15 and the mac ut-8 works (nearly) perfect. As I live in Germany, we have often filenames

[LLVMdev] Transparent LTO on Mac OS X
Are you building llvm-gcc yourself? If so, what version? Xcode releases include an older llvm-gcc and libLTO.dylib, which may not understand bitcode generated by newer self-built compilers. If you are only using llvm-gcc from the Xcode tools release, use the driver from: /Developer/usr/bin/llvm-gcc-4.2 If you are building llvm-gcc yourself, try, in this order: 1) sudo ln -s
