"free" y-limits in xYplot
Dear R Gurus - Please help me to make a multiple-panel plot using xYplot in which the y-axis of each panel is dependent only on the data of that plot. Here is the dataset: response date mean Lower Upper 1 density 1 271.0000000 249.2500000 289.0000000 2 density 4 296.7500000 280.5000000 313.0000000 3 recruits 1 271.0000000 249.2500000

Major Axis residuals
I am having trouble extracting residuals from Major Axis and Standardized Major Axis fits, using the smatr package. I wish to understand the relationship between density of wood in twigs and trunks, and how the slope of their relationship varies among sites, among families, and with tree size. These variance-partitioning desires push the analysis toward a mixed model framework. However,

GLM Repeated measures test of assumptions: e.g. test for sphericity e.g. Bartletts and Levenes homogenous variances
Hello and thanks in advance I am running a glm in R the code is as follows with residual diagnostic code below model4<-glm(Biomass~(Treatment+Time+Site)^2, data=bobB, family=quasi(link="log", variance="mu")) par(mfrow=c(2,2)) plot(model2) to test the effect of grazing exclusion of feral horses for a Phd with following factors: Treatment - 3 levels which are grazed

climstats
I have been trying to download the climstats package: https://r-forge.r-project.org/R/?group_id=861 but it doesn't seem to run on R 3.0.2 or 3.0.1 and the zipfile is empty. Does anyone know the status of this package or where I can download it. I need to some data frames in version 1.7.0 such as "florida","Barley","rainforest" and some others. I don't know these data frames are in which library. I typed "data(package = .packages(all.available = TRUE))" that was in "data()"

Generalized Estimating Equations and a Reviewer Question I can’t answer
I am using the R statistical package in a pretty straightforward manner, just interested in getting summary statistics and reliable estimates of means, variances, confidence intervals, p-values using standard tests, etc. I've been using the generalized estimating equation package because I often deal with repeatedly sampled pairs of data from the same source, and my reading (and my

Comparing GLMMs and GLMs with quasi-binomial errors?
Dear All, I am analysing a dataset on levels of herbivory in seedlings in an experimental setup in a rainforest. I have seven classes/categories of seedling damage/herbivory that I want to analyse, modelling each separately. There are twenty maternal trees, with eight groups of seedlings around each. Each tree has a TreeID, which I use as the random effect (blocking factor). There are two

update_attributes and validations
I have a Person model. Person has_many lab_urls. The LabUrl model has a title and a url, which are both required. Now, I want to update a LabUrl object and stick some invalid data in there. And I want the person that has that invalid LabUrl to now be invalid, too. That doesn''t seem like too much to ask for. How can I do that? Right now, this is happening: >> me = Person.find(1)

censorReg/survreg
Hi all, I would like to ask whether anyone knows if the censorReg in S-plus regress the mean survival model or the hazard and if it uses the maximum likelihood in order to estimate the values? In addition, is there anyone knowing why censorReg does not exist in R and what's the difference between censorReg and survreg (besides the truncation)? Cheers,Skevi [[alternative HTML version
