installing mclust and flexmix on linux
I've been trying to install some R packages such as mclust and flexmix on linux but have had the following error messages. > I've been trying to install mclust on my notebook which has linpus linux lite os and I have installed R as well as some packages all right. local source packages install from within R session - cross-platform
I realize that others have struggled with this issue...i.e. http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/~rking/R/help/05/01/9826.html i am on os.x 10.4 w/ R2.2, and am (perhaps foolishly) also on this quest... i would like to be able to install downloaded source (tar.gz'd) files from within an R session, and have it work in a X-platform way..i am often not connected to the internet and have libraries

relative frequency plot
Hi All, I want to use "hist" to get the relative frequency plot. But the range of ylab is greater than 1,which I think it should be less than 1 since it stands for the probability. Linux integration with AD
Hi All, I extended my AD schema (SFU 3.5) and migrated the users and groups from my NIS domain. The groups migrated from the NIS have the same GID like on the NIS. I added linux machines to my AD domain using windbind, and define on the smb.conf "idmap gid = 10000-20000". seg fault with mclust

Segmentation fault while using Mclust function of mclust library in R-2.0.1
Hi, all; I got an unusual error while using mclust library 2.1-7 on R 2.0.1. When I tried to run Mclust(rnorm(100)), I got segmentation fault error. Does anyone know what causes this problem?
