I'm just trying to wrap the flac decoder into a push model class... as i'm having a few threading problems in corner cases. One thing i need to fnid out is... if i call process_single() and let the read callback give the decoder exactly one packet/frame. Is the write_callback garaunteed to only be fired once ? Also one other thing... this where is always crashes... Line 374 in

Include "print" output into plots
Hello, I would like to set up some automatic reporting using R. For this purpose, I need to include the output of "print" commands into the graphics produced by some "plot" commands. 1. Is there an easy way to do this? 2. Is it possible to redirect "print" into a string? (except redirecting into a file and than scanning back?) 3. What is the best way to get

Selecting complementary colours
Dear r-helpers, I wonder whether, given the "#rrggbb" representation of a colour, there is a simple way to select the complementary colour, also expressed as a "#rrggbb" string. Any suggestions would be appreciated. John -------------------------------- John Fox, Professor Department of Sociology McMaster University Hamilton, Ontario Canada L8S 4M4 905-525-9140x23604

Possible bug with chromatic adaptation in grDevices::convertColor
It appears that the chromatic adaptation feature of `grDevices::convertColor`is broken, and likely has been for many years.? While a little surprising, it is an obscure enough feature that there is some possibility this is actually broken, as opposed to user error on my part.? If it turns out to the latter, I apologize in advance for spamming this list. Consider: ??? rgb.in <-

correlated binary data and overall probability
Dear All, I try to simulate correlated binary data for a clinical research project. Unfortunately, I do not come to grips with bindata(). Consider corr<-data.frame(ID=as.factor(rep(c(1:10), each=5)), task=as.factor(rep(c(1:5),10))) [this format might be more appropriate:] corr2<-data.frame(ID=as.factor(rep(c(1:10),5)), tablet=as.factor(rep(c(1:5),each=10))) Now, I want to

Dear R users, I want to generate two random variables (X1, X2) from uniform distribution (-0.5, 0.5) with a specified correlation coefficient r. Does anyone know how to do it in R? Many thanks! Menghui

(no subject)
R friends, I am using R 2.1.0 in a Win XP . I have a problem working with lists, probably I do not understand how to use them. Lets suppose that a set of patients visit a clinic once a year for 4 years on each visit a test, say 'eib' is performed with results 0 or 1 The patients do not all visit the clinic the 4 times but they missed a lot of visits. The test is considered positive if it

Low bitrate high-band coding...
Hi, I'd like to contribute to Vorbis and I think this may be of some interest for low bitrate coding. I have been experimenting with low bit-rate coding for the high-band (11 kHz to 22 kHz) and, though I haven't yet started quantizing my coefficients (a gain and an LPC filter), I expect to be able to approximate the whole 11-22 kHz band with around 1000 bits/s per channel (maybe even 500
