Can anyone please tell me how to strip the white spaces f rom a character vector?
If you are interested in trimming leading and trailing whitespace (and not interior whitespace), you can use the 'trim' function from the 'gdata' package. -G > -----Original Message----- > From: r-help-bounces at stat.math.ethz.ch > [mailto:r-help-bounces at stat.math.ethz.ch]On Behalf Of roger bos > Sent: Tuesday, October 25, 2005 8:52 AM > To: (r-help at

Can you push this to a repo somewhere? I want to see what the final version looks like after all your changes, but it's hard to see that with these patches. Passing function arguments to dataset names
Hello, I am stuck in a relatively simple procedure and was wondering if anybody knows the answer. I am a relatively new R user. How do I use an argument of a custom function in the name of a dataset in R? For example, I have the function: MyF <- function(Tic, price){ xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx Ratio.Tic<- SharpeRatio.annualized(roc) } I would

RFC: new variable battery.status
THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!!!! There was a smaller patch posted to the list for lines -1389,9 +1390,10 a couple years ago, it helped some - BUT - it was still buggy. I have a Compaq R3000, I will get this patch integrated pronto and test Note that since the UPS relies on the voltage from the battery pack to determine state of charge, it is quite useful to add in the battery pack

rsync performance
We're using rsync 2.6.3 to sync two DELL PowerEdge servers with both Redhat-EL4 and otherwise nearly identical hardware (2.8/3GHz, 1GB RAM each). The source machine has a SCSI-RAID1, the destination a SATA-RAID1 disk attached. There are 5 filesystems which are rsynced via ssh. On the smaller filesystems with ~200.000 files/7GB, rsync takes 1-3 minutes: lion:/atg/ ========= Tue Aug 22

Help needed. Samba 3.2.0rc2 - IDMAP - Windows 2008 Server - ADS Integration - Winbind

But we want to keep our nice 5+ samba-server providing fast 50TB+ of storage. So we have to find a way to nicely integrate the storage with the
