Frequent errors copying to an SMB share
Hi,
I have a setup that rsyncs (using the rsync protocol without rsh/ssh logins)
from one windows server (A) to a NAS (B) via a second windows server (C) (A
is on a separate location from B & C, and the NAS doesn't support rsync
directly), where C stores data on an SMB share on B. My problem is that I

Failed rsync -- two different files considered up to date
Hi,
I've used rsync successfully for several years, syncing between two
Windows 2000 servers using daemon mode, but today I stumbled accross
something peculiar. I'm using cygwin with rsync 2.6.0 at both ends (the
latest available at this date) and I have a file that rsync considers up
to date even though both the md5 and a normal diff show differences.

Rsync Performance In Windows
Has anyone else experienced high CPU usage when using RSYNC in windows 2000
server? I am using the rsync.exe (and applicable DLL's) from the cygwin
installation (I am not however running cygwin on this machine).
The linux machine connecting to the windows rsync daemon has a very low
performance hit when the session is running (see below). However, the

Owner and permissions problems when syncing w2k<->w2k
Hi!
I'm having a bit of a problem setting up an rsync
operation between two Windows 2000 servers. On one of
the machines I have started an rsync Daemon (service,
started as administrator) using the lines below.
On the other machine I do a
rsync -Pzrtvpo /cygdrive/d/root/Folder
administrator@192.168.2.4::root
What happens is that all transferred files (no problem
with the actual transfer)

plotting radial dendrograms
Dear list,
I am trying to plot a radial dendrogram using the ape package, which
requires my data to be of class 'phylo'. Currently I have my
dendrogram stored as an object of class 'dendrogram' which was
produced from an outside bit of C code, but was made into an object of
class 'igraph.eigenc' and converted to a dendrogram using
'as.dendrogram()' from the igraph

Rsyncing Problem with - character!
Dear Rsync Users,
Please can I have a bit of rsync advice?
I am trying to rsync a file called.
'Draft text - with Holley comments.doc' from machine a to machine b.
Unfortunately this isn't working because I think rsync recognises the -
character and thinks it's an option.
I have tried escaping this out as well as putting it all in " " but
neither seems to work

question about amova (ade4)
Hello,
I am interested in using the amova function of ade4 package of R. I
would like to know if there is any possibility to perform an amova with
a specific anova model, as a factorial anova with some factors nested,
or, if this could not be done, how could I perform an anova with my
specific model but with molecular distance data?
I would be very grateful if you could help me with this fact in

4th corner analysis ade4 - what do the colors mean
I have used the fourthcorner function as suggest by dray and legendre
(model 2 and 4 then combine). I plot the combined value with
plot(four.comb, type="G"). What do the colors mean? I have both grey
and black bars.

Dear list,
I am using the plot.coinertia function from the ade4 package. Can
someone tell me if it is possible to change the label size in the upper,
right plot? My RV value is so high that the arrows become shorter than
the labels.

Dear All,
I am using the scatter.dudi finction in the 'ade4' package to produce
correspondence analysis (nice) plots.
I do not seem to figure out how to plot the raw coordinates only -- or column
coordinates only. I would appreciate any help in doing that.

About ade4 and overlaying points
Dear R-users,
Is there an easy way to avoid points one upon another when ploting rows
and columns of 'dudi' objects ? Maybe there is a function in ade4 or in
an other package, or maybe someone has his or her own function to do
this (for example to automatically modify a little the coordinates of
these points to get a readable plot ?).
