loop, pipe connection, output objects
Hi all,
I have the following -newbye- problem.
Inside R, I am trying to process a file and creating from it many files.
The file is organized in different columns, the second containing a code. I want to create as output objects, which contain only entries in a certain code range, and whose name contain the code itself.
Here is my attempt

loop, pipe connection, quote/unquote
Hi all,
I have the following problem.
Inside R, I am trying to run a loop on several files.
The data are stored in these files in a peculiar way, thus, at the same time I load the data, I would like to invoke a utility. I do this with "pipe". (The utility I am using is gbget from the package gbutils. It works correctly from shell, and it is not the problem.)
The problem is that from

I''ve got question - how to use ssh_autorized_key as a virtual resource?
I''ve got bunch of users and ssh_authorized_key virtual resources, but
only users gets to the target system - ssh keys not...
I write something like:
class admins {
@user { "username":

Sangoma S508 Rev-B
Hi list,
I've browsed through the wiki pages and finally would like to get some
answers from peple who perhaps had used such card. I have the sangoma
s508 card. It has no CSU/DSU. It is an ISA card with DB9 and DB25
connectors (for RS232 and V34/X21/EIA interfaces). They claim it is a
frame relay and syncronous ppp card.
Can I use this card with asterisk in any way but without

How to trigger a resync of a newly replaced empty brick in replicate config ?
Hi,
My volume home is configured in replicate mode (version 3.12.4) with the bricks
server1:/data/gluster/brick1
server2:/data/gluster/brick1
server2:/data/gluster/brick1 was corrupted, so I killed gluster daemon for that brick on server2, umounted it, reformated it, remounted it and did a

How to trigger a resync of a newly replaced empty brick in replicate config ?
You do not need to reset brick if brick path does not change. Replace
the brick format and mount, then gluster v start volname force.
To start self heal just run gluster v heal volname full.

iptables -m dstlimit
Which kernel supports the iptables'' -m dstlimit?
Do I need a patch or something else to get it to work?
Is it too experimental?

Enable logging of all client commands in dovecot-1.2.alpha3
Hello,
I would like to log all IMAP client commands sent to dovecot. The
format would be time pid command arguments. I reviewed
http://wiki.dovecot.org/Logging and started digging through
dovecot-1.2.alpha3/src/master . I don't need this turned on all the
time, just enough to see how clients do things and I don't need to see
passwords.
Any tips would be appreciated.

How to trigger a resync of a newly replaced empty brick in replicate config ?
Hi,
I simplified the config in my first email, but I actually have 2x4 servers in replicate-distribute with each 4 bricks for 6 of them and 2 bricks for the remaining 2. Full healing will just take ages... for a just single brick to resync !

Rails validation is inefficient
Hi,
I have a User model, with a validates_uniqueness_of :login
The generated SQL for the validation is:
SELECT * FROM `users` WHERE (LOWER(users.login) = ''fernando'' AND
users.id <> 10001) LIMIT 1;
and it takes 0.13s to happen (my table has 10.000 rows)
When I use the EXPLAIN instruction on it, it shows that it will use the
primary_key as index, but this is not
