Robust multivariate regression with rlm
Dear Group,
I am having trouble with using rlm on multivariate data sets. When I
call rlm I get
Error in lm.wfit(x, y, w, method = "qr") :
incompatible dimensions
lm on the same data sets seem to work well (see code example). Am I
doing something wrong?
I have already browsed through the forums and google but could not find
any related discussions.
I use Windows XP and R

interpreting mixed model anova results
Hi, I am trying to do a repeated measures ANOVA to determine if there is a
significant difference between two sets of timecourse data. Each individual
was given a single treatment and then measured for one variable for 10 days.
Here is made-up example of what my data would look like:

Validation of logistic models in R 2.12
Hi everyone,
I am trying to validate a logistic model built in R. Not my version of R is 2.12 and I cannot install ROCR.
I have gone to a point where I have the predicted values using the code:
pred1 = predict(trainlogit1,testdata_1, type = "response")
How do I proceed from here? Is there another way in which I can plot lift charts?
My model output is:
Call:
glm(formula =

Smbd using too much CPU
I recently got the problem that my smbd process takes up a lot of CPU (about
60%). It's running this high even if I don't access the server through my
samba clients. I have tried restarting samba, rebooting the computer and I
have been looking at several logs but I can't see what's wrong. It never
seems to relax. I need to fix this as fast as possible because my CPU fan is

Can't get CyberPower UPS to work with Raspberry Pi 4
I've searched the listserv archive, to no avail, so I hope I'm not
duplicating a previous problem. I am anxious to get this working, so I'm
open to uninstalling what I have and starting over.
One note which may not be meaningful is that this UPS pre-dates the
Raspberry Pi I've got connected to it, and I used to use it with the
CyberPower software, which requires logging in with a

mixed effects with nlme
Dear R users:
I have some difficulties analizing data with mixed effects NLME and the
last version of R. More concretely, I have a repeated measures design with
a single group and 2 experimental factors (say A and B) and my interest is
to compare additive and nonadditive models.

Problem with "by": does not work with ttest (but with lme)
Hello,
I would like to do a large number of e.g. 1000 paired ttest using the by-function. But instead of using only the data within the 1000 groups, R caclulates 1000 times the ttest for the full data set(The same happens with Wilcoxon test). However, the by-function works fine with the lme function.
Did I just miss something or is it really not working? If not, is there any other possibility to

gluster client performance
Hi-
I'm new to Gluster, but am trying to get it set up on a new compute
cluster we're building. We picked Gluster for one of our cluster file
systems (we're also using Lustre for fast scratch space), but the
Gluster performance has been so bad that I think maybe we have a
configuration problem -- perhaps we're missing a tuning parameter that
would help, but I can't find
