Can anybody, please, explain me how many parameter are estimated using randomLCA? For examples, model "dentistry.lca2random" estimate 1 scale (or variance, b_j) parameter and 2 position parameters (a_cj)? Doesn't it? Do I need at least 4 diagnostic tests for such a model? What happens if I specify options blocksize and byclass? How many diagnostic tests (or rater) I need?

Guys, I'm getting strange messages on my new server with dovecot-1.1rc4 + lda + sieve + ldap + postfix + suse10. This server is in production since monday, and worked fine until today. I fitted a GAM model with Poisson distribution using the function gam() in the mgcv package. My model is of the form: mod<-gam(y~s(x0)+s(x1)+s(x2),family=poisson). To extract estimates at a specified set of covariate values I used the gam `predict' method. But I want to get estimate and standard error of the difference of two fitted values.
