Late Make Problem with Readline (PR#1673)
Full_Name: Jeremy Fox Version: 1.5.0 OS: Solaris 8, 64 bit Submission from: (NULL) (171.64.232.63) I am compiling R under Solaris and the compilation stops at this point. The problem only happens when I link in readline. The R binary is actually compiled and readlne works. The main problem with the compiled binary (other than that all the supporting files were not correctly installed) is that

optimizing R-1.4.0 build on Solaris; a show-and-tell storry
This is a little success story about the benefits of changing the defaults in config.site when I was building R-1.4.0 for Solaris (on a Sun Sparc that I'm currently using). For previous versions of R, I had just used the default config.site and not given it any thought. Since the Sun machine that I'm using is not getting any faster, I decided I would give config.site a look when building

I've built a 64bit version of R 1.9.1 on a solaris 2.9 sparc system. 64-bit R build with Studio 12 on Sparc v9
Hi, I'm working on a server with a sparcv9 chip using SunOS 5.9 Generic May 2002. The compilers are the Sun Studio 12 compilers. I'm trying to build a 64-bit version of R-2.6.1, and while the configure script runs, the make does not. Here are the options I set in config.site: ________________________________________________________________________ _ R_PAPERSIZE=letter CC="cc

rgl install problem on Solaris 10 X86
Hi, Could you help me to install the rgl package on Solaris 10 x86? I tried and got the following error messages. When I compiled my R as 64bit, I used the SUN ProW compilers. However, gcc seems to being used below as well as missing some information. Thank you in advance, Dongseok > install.packages("rgl") --- Please select a CRAN mirror for use in this session --- *
