Asterisk and Avaya...
I just connected an Asterisk server to an Avaya Pbx using the
instructions at: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/index.php?page=Asterisk
+Avaya
Everything seems to be working as I can send and receive calls. The
only detail I am having a problem with is that when an extension on the
Avaya calls an Asterisk extension, I only get the name part of the CID,
not the number. From Asterisk to the Avaya

predict.coxph
Since I read the list in digest form (and was out ill yesterday) I'm
late to the discussion.
There are 3 steps for predicting survival, using a Cox model:
1. Fit the data
fit <- coxph(Surv(time, status) ~ age + ph.ecog, data=lung)
The biggest question to answer here is what covariates you wish to base
the prediction on. There is the usual tradeoff between too few (leave

relsurv package
Dear R-users,
I have a couple of questions about the relsurv package:
1) when I try to run the example:
fit <- rsmul(Surv(time,cens)~sex+as.factor(agegr)+ratetable(age=age*365.24,sex=sex,year=year),ratetable=slopop,data=rdata)
with the datasets in the package (rdata and slopop) it gives me an error:
Error in nrow(x) : object "x" not found
2)
If I have a date format

package relsurv
Dear R-Users,
I've recently used relsurv package for relative survival analysis. In particular I've tried to reproduce the examples proposed in the R-documentation about rsadd, rsmul and rstrans functions in R latest version (R 2.14.1). These examples don't run and the error message is always the following:
data(slopop)
data(rdata)

especially Austria and Germany?
I know only about slopop in the package relsurv.

Hazard model with long-term survivor (cure model)
Dear All,
Are there R packages that can estimate survival model with long-term
survivors? This is sometimes known as "cure" model or "split-population"
model. Thanks.

Project: Posting list encoding improvements
Hi Xapianers:
My name is Weixian Zhou, Computer Science student of University at Buffalo,
State University of New York. I am interested in the project of posting
list encoding improvements and weighting schemes. I have some questions
toward them.
1) After read the comments in brass_postlist.cc, I am still not very clear
about the detailed structure of postings list. If you can provide some

spatial probit/logit for prediction
Hello all,
I am wondering if there is a way to do a spatial error probit/logit model in R? I can't seem to find it in any of the packages. I can do it in MATLAB with Gibbs sampling, but would like to confirm the results. Ideally I would like to use this model to predict probability of parcel conversion in a future time period. This seems especially difficult in a binary outcome model

Problem in loading all packages all at once
Hi All
Please see the Rprofile file which i have modified as follows and after
that when I start R then I see that R says to me "TRUE" for all the
packages implying that all loaded at once.
But when i try to use commands as simple as help("lm"), it doesnt work nor
any of the menu "Packages" is not working.
Although the regression using lm ( Y ~ X ) is working
