ggplot dentro de una función
Hola a todos, Partiendo de: library(ggplot2); library(data.table) datos <- data.table(Date = seq.Date(as.Date("2017-01-01"), as.Date("2017-01-10"), by = "day"), V1 = rnorm(10), V2 = rnorm(10)) Quiero crear una función para pintar un gráfico cuyos argumentos sean

ggplot2: proper use of facet_grid inside a function
Hello Again R Folk: I have found items about this in the archives, but I?m still not getting it right. I want to use ggplot2 with facet_grid inside a function with user specified variables, for instance: p <- ggplot(data, aes_string(x = fac1, y = res)) + facet_grid(. ~ fac2) Where data, fac1, fac2 and res are arguments to the function. I have tried p <- ggplot(data,

ggplot2 - facetting
Dear All, After having overcome the issue of legends (thanks, Thierry, once more), I am trying to use facetting, but here also I can not find how to do this. I do not want to use qplot, but rather the more flexible options. However, it seems I am doing still something pretty stupid, because I always get an error, even if it seems I am doing everything like the examples. My code is below.

use ggplot in a function to which a column name is given
Hi everyone, Hi ggplot users in particular, ggplot makes it very easy to plot things given their names when you use it interactively (and therefore can provide the names of the columns). qplot(x,foo, data=A) where A has columns (x,y,foo, bar) for example but I would like to use this from inside a function to which the name of the column is given. I cannot find an elegant way to make this

ggplot: geom_line with only pairs of points connected
Dear list, I've been using plotmeans {gplots} a lot before, and found the "connect" argument to be quite useful. I've moved to ggplot for several reasons, but would still like to connect lines conditionally, somehow. Is it possible to do? Small example: df <- data.frame(cat=LETTERS[1:4],num=rnorm(4)) ggplot(df, aes(x=cat, y=num)) + geom_point() +

ggplot pale colors
Hello i am new to ggplot and i observed a strange behavior. I want to display two groups of points, each group with a different color. But i encountered a problem with the colors. Here is a first example: dataset <- data.frame(Main = c("A", "A", "B", "B"), Detail = c( "b", "c", "1", "2"), resp = runif(4, min

añadir líneas verticales con ggplot

scaling of different data sets in ggplot
Dear list (but probably mostly Hadley): In ggplot, operations to modify 'guides' are accessed through grid objects, but I did not find mention of creating new guides or possibly removing them altogether using ggplot functions. I wonder if this is something I need to learn grid to learn more about (which I hope to do eventually). Also, ggplot()+geom_object() [where 'object' can be

ggplot- using geom_point and geom_line at the same time
Hi I am plotting line chart using ggplot and want to use geom_line and geom_point simultaneously. I get the plot but now I have two legends. None of the legend is representing the true values. I need the legend with shape and color both. Thanks > con = textConnection("inputs var1 var2 var3+ 100 10 5 2+ 1000 20 10 4+ 5000 30 15 8+ 10000 40 20 16+ 30000 50 25 32")> data =

problem with geom_point in ggplot using a different column
I want to draw boxplot where the geom_points are displayed based on "ERBB2.MUT" subset and they should be displayed in the right box (based both on the "ERBB2.2064" field and "ERBB2_Status"). However, given my command I currently only see "red" points corresponding to "MUT" subset in one straight line corresponding to only "ERBB2.2064"

Merge two ggplots
Hello everyone. I am using ggplot and I need some help to merge these two plots into one. plot_CR<-function(x,y,agentid,CRagent){   library(ggplot2)     agent<-CRagent[[agentid]] # To make following expression shorter   ggplot((data.frame(x=CRX,y=CRY,sr=agent$sr)))+   geom_point(aes(x,y,colour=cut(sr,c(0,-10,-20,-30,-40,-50,-60,-70,-80))))+   geom_text(aes(x,y,color=cut(sr,

ggplot legend consolidation
Hello Everyone, I have recently been introduced to the ggplot package by Hadley Wickham and must say I am quite impressed so far at how easy it is to make attractive plots, but one thing I am struggling over is how to consolidate legends. I have 3 plots that I would like to put on a single page and all 3 map the same dimension of the data to the colour aesthetic. Right now, when I plot all

ggplot inside cycle
Dear all I want to save several ggplots in one pdf document. I tried this for (i in names(iris)[2:4]) { p<-ggplot(iris, aes(x=Sepal.Length, y=iris[,i], colour=Species)) p+geom_point(aes(size=3)) } with different variations of y input but was not successful. In past I used qplot in similar fashion which worked for(i in names(mleti)[7:15]) print(qplot(sito, mleti1[,i], facets=~typ, ylab=i,

GGplot 2 – cannot get histogram and box plot axis to match.
Problem: I am trying to get the histogram and box plot x axis to match. I?ve tried using the expand_limits function to make the axis match but that didn?t make the axis match. The histogram?s axis are still consistently larger than the ones for the box plot (though the function did help). Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I should do instead? Background: I am building a Shiny app that

ggplot inside function doesn't plot
I don't really understand. I mean, I understand the solution is print(ggplot(...)). But why is that required in a function and not at the console? Shouldn't I be able to rely on what I do at the console working in a script? Is this inconsistent behavior by design?
