Printing in Wine
I'm using RH 7.1 with 20011108. Wine is running well with the few simple apps that I use with it. The only problem that I'm having is with printing. I've followed the somewhat conflicting instructions that I've found around the web to use the internal PS driver and at least gotten that much to show up in the dialog box on WinSpice3. However, when I attempt to print I get

CUPS Printers not showing up in wine (notepad et al)
I compiled and installed wine 1.1.8 (from src from winehq) probably 4 months ago...ish. I never tried printing until today after I installed MathCAD. My printer (which normally shows up in Ubuntu 8.04 32 bit) doesn't show up at all in wine. MathCAD and notepad both threw an error "Install a printer before trying to print" <- not exact quote. I tried installing bullzip pdf

Hello List, sorry, that I have to repost my question a third time (last postings on June 23.), but unfortunately my problem remains unsolved. Here we go again: In short: I can print from any application except wine. My systems (first try): Workstation ray (192.168.99.10): Gentoo 2006.0 wine-0.9.15 Cups-1.1.23 no /etc/printcap no local printer connected /etc/cups/client.conf contains the line:

Randomly shuffle an array 1000 times
Dear List, I have a table i have read into R: Name Yes/No John 0 Frank 1 Ann 0 James 1 Alex 1 etc - 800 different times. What i want to do is shuffle yes/no and randomly re-assign them to the name. I have used sample() and permute(), however there is no way to do this 1000 times. Furthermore, i want to copy the data into a excel spreadsheet in the same order as the data was input so i can

Printing with wine
Ooops, I guess a suject will get some of you to read this, hey? Hi All, Wondering if there is a document that tells how to get wine printing through a cups printer working? Yes I know the wine docs say it's all magic and if you're using cups your printing will magically work, but for some reason, it doesn't, my wine session crashes and burns when I try to print from the built in

Type1 Fonts
I've narrowed the my Cups printing problem down to Wine not loading my Type 1 fonts. I have several Type 1 fonts installed in 3 places, all of which are in my fontpath ("xset q" lists them). I can use the Type 1 fonts in X and with KDE-2.2.1 even as AntiAliased, however, when I try to print from an app under wine I get a memory error and a message at the command line stating

SNAT (or MASQUERADING) and DNAT question
Hi, The private adresses (192.168.254.0/255.255.255.0) of my network are sent dynamically by dhcp on my network. The dhcp server is on the firewall which address is 192.168.254.1/255.255.255.255 (this address is static). I''ve got a rsync server on this network which is on a separe server. His address is 192.168.254.200/255.255.255.255 (this address is static). I want that the users

Selective Masquerading
HI guys: I have a DSL @ 1mb, and another one @ 256kbps I''ve been reading countless hours regarding the split access / load balancing issue, but for some strange reason, things don''t work the way they should. Sometimes the split access works, other times a DSL begins an ARP flood pointing all the ARP replies to the other DSL, and sometimes they just wont work at all. While

I want to allow masquerading only for a few ips in the network to some certain site for ftp, ssh etc. Masquerading will be blocked for other users amd they will access internet thru proxy server. How can I do this ? thanks. wrodrigues. Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

Mailing list email masquerading.
Why mailing list info was changed and no information about Senders email address in available anymore? Is this fight with spammers? It means from this moment, if we want to reply someone off-topic/off-list we can't do it, because we don't see Sender's email address, only name of person and we only possible way to do it , via mailing list. Thanks, Alexander E-Mail:
