How to alpha entire plot?
I have two chromatograms I want plotted on the same axes. I would like the plots to be transparent, so the first chart is not obscured. I have tried adjustcolor(..., alpha.f=0.3), the problem is that my chromatogram is so dense with datapoints that they overlap and the entire graph just ends up a solid color. The second histogram still obscures the first. Consider this example: col1 <-

baseline fitters
I am pretty pleased with baselines I fit to chromatograms using the runquantile() function in caTools(v1.6) when its probs parameter is set to 0.2 and its k parameter to ~1/20th of n (e.g., k ~ 225 for n ~ 4500, where n is time series length). This ignores occasional low- side outliers, and, after baseline subtraction, I can re-adjust any negative values to zero. But runquantile's

peak detection
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of a package that contains the ability for peak/valley detection. Here is an example of what I'm looking for, only problem is that it's written in Matlab. http://www.billauer.co.il/peakdet.html Thanks for any help in advance. -Joe

How to alpha entire plot?
Interesting problem. I would discretize the x-values and interleave them. Lines from one dataset still overlap, so you see high- density and low-density regions, but lines from the other dataset are drawn into the interval. Like so: interleave <- function(x, MIN, MAX, N, nChannel = 2, channel) { isp <- seq(MIN, MAX, length.out = N + 1) # interleave support points offset <-

Chromatogram deconvolution and peak matching
Hi, I'm trying to match peaks between chromatographic runs. I'm able to match peaks when they are chromatographed with the same method, but not when there are different methods are used and spectra comes in to play. While searching I found the ALS package which should be usefull for my application, but I couldn't figure it out. I made some dummy chroms with R, which mimic my actual

epoch time conversion in R
I have a data file where each entry is indexed by the time in seconds since epoch (e.g. 1046315697). Is there an easy way to convert this time value into a more friendly time (such as Month-Year) when plotting it? I searched through the manual, mailing lists, and functions like as.POSIXct and strptime, but didn't find what I need. Thanks, Sharad.

help with paste
Hello gurus, I have some variables, and i am creating combinations for analysis in the end i need these variables to be displayed like "LEPTIN+SAA+PTH". currently i am using loop to perform this. I would appreciate any pointers to do it without the loop. > mols=c("LEPTIN","SAA","PTH","sEGFR") > samples=mols[1:3] > samples [1]

virConnectOpen question.
Hi, I am using virConnectOpen(const char *uri) to connect to the local hypervisor. When uri is set to "lxc:///", an error gets logged in /var/log/messages about failed connection. But I do not see any error for "xen:///". The machine does not have these drivers installed, and I am using libvirt 0.6.3. My questions are - 1. Why I see error in /var/log/messages for container

virInitialize dumps core intermittently.
Hi, I have a host with 6 VMs set to autostart. When this host reboots, it starts libvirtd, pegasus cimom and libvirt-cim. It also restarts the VMs. Intermittently we noticed a core during start up that points to the last call made by libvirt-cim to "virInitialize". I am thinking that it is a timing issue where virInitialize is called while libvirt is trying to autostart the VMs.

OrgMassSpecR peak area issue
Hello! I am having an issue with the OrgMassSpecR package. I run my HPLC using a DAD detector. My raw data is exported form chemstation as a csv file. I then upload the csv into Rstudio no problem. Using the DrawChromatogram function, I get a nice chromatogram, and my retention time, peak area, and apex intensity values are given as well. The problem comes with the peak area value given. The

http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/file/n3312061/x_and_y_values.txt x_and_y_values.txt I have the absorbance values form HPLC Chromatogram. I need to find the peaks in datapoints and area under each peak. I am not sure how how to find the peaks, I tried couple of libraries and peak function but they return me a list of values which when computed from area turns out to be huge nnumbers. In the

I have written the following for(i in length(data$Phase)){ newphase=if(abs(data$Phase[i+1]-data$Phase[i])>6){ data$Phase[i+1] }else{data$Phase[i] } } I get the following error which I have not
