Internal error - invalid parameters recieved
Hello, I've upgraded to maverick from lucid (a clean install). I've been getting the same error for many applications running from wine, each in it's own bottle. Garena starts with the error but I can't log in, Heroes 3 runs without a glitch and suddenly crashes with the same error, Microsoft Office same thing, just crashes out of the blue, I can't install ie7 or ie8....same

Wine can't initialize OpenGL
My wine used to work fine - I'm using Lucid and wanted wine 3.16 because of a bug fix, and I figured the maverick debian would probably be fine, and I installed it, and OpenGL suddenly didn't work. So I used "completely remove" in Synaptic to uninstall the maverick version of wine and went back to the lucid 3.15 version, and it still didn't work. I replaced everything in my

Re: pulseaudio under ubuntu lucid
Update on this topic. I have just bought a new computer (My previous one was 8 years old and showing its age) and I tried timidity instead of fluidsynth. Midi playback works fine on both the midi player and notation processor in Wine with Pulse Audio enabled.

7 arguments passed to .Internal(identical) which requires 6
I know this has come up before on R-help (http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/7-arguments-passed-to-Internal-identical-which-requires-6-td4548460.html) but I have a concise reproducible case that I wanted to share. Also, please note the Bioconductor scenario which is potentially seriously impacted by this. The issue arises when a binary version of a package (like my example package below) is built

Drawing problem in Wine 1.3.0
Hi, I'm having a problem with black boxes and black widgets appearing in Wine programs. See these two screenshots[0], [1] for examples. One program is a Windows application, but the other is Winecfg. Any clues what is wrong here? This is Wine 1.3.0 compiled on Debian squeeze. Thanks, Andrew Barr [0] http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/5373/screenshotho.png [1]

Question about Steam.
I am running wine1.3, installed from the winehq repo on ubuntu 10.10. I installed steam through winetricks, nothing else. After this i told steam to start installing civ V. Is there anything in wine1.3, or perhaps steam running under wine1.3 that

Installin wine 1.3 shouldn't be this complicated!
I'm new to ubuntu but i'm starting to understand it. However, Ubuntu is completely useless for me if I can't run the latest version of wine (1.3). Wine 1.2 was working great on 10.04 however photoshop cs4 wouldn't install on it. So I upgraded to maverick, deleted wine 1.2, and am now trying to install wine 1.3. Should be simple, right? I've added the correct repositories to

Steam overlay ubuntu maverick
Hello, annoying problem here. I've recently installed Ubuntu Maverick beta 1 with wine 1.3.2. For some time now, my steam overlay has been functioning perfectly. Now, since installing Maverick, I've suddenly lost the steam overlay. The process doesn't even launch at all, and invoking it manually is impossible. Are there any known issues with Maverick, wine, steam and the overlay that
