routes.rb question.
I have a simple program that read all HTML files from a directory and returns parts of the content and the file names which are HREFs to those file. I build the HREF string dynamicaly as PATH_TO_DOC_ROOT + "file_name". My PATH_TO_DOC_ROOT = http://127.0.0.1:3000/docman/public/docs. So, the final link that I am interested in might look like this:

Model studies in one analysis using treatment as a five level moderator in a meta-regression
Hello, I am medical student, writing a meta-analysis on complication and reoperation rates after the five most common treatments of distal radius fractures. I have been busy with the statistics for months by my self, but find it quite hard since our classes were very basic. Now I want to compare the treatment modalities to see if there are significant differences. Using R I was able to

Model studies in one analysis using treatment as a five level moderator in a meta-regression
hi Jay, Consult a local statistician. Dear Vito, Thank you for your reply. I tried to contact the statistics departement numerous times, but did not receive any reply. That is why I started to look on the internet for help. Change Rcode for a meta-analysis(netmeta) to use a random effects model instead of a mixed effects model
Hello, I am writing a meta-analysis on the complication and reoperation rates after 5 treatment modalities of a distal radius fracture. I have a code to compare the complication and reoperation rates. Currently it is using a mixed effects model. Is it possible to change the code so a random effects model is used? Thank you very much, Jay R code library(meta) library(readxl) All <-

Change Rcode for a meta-analysis(netmeta) to use a random effects model instead of a mixed effects model
The code in your mail in a mangled mess, since you posted in HTML. Please configure your email client to send emails in plain text. Could you explain what exactly you mean by "Currently it is using a mixed effects model. Is it possible to change the code so a random effects model is used?" reading multiple XML files into an R table
Good morning fellow R users! I need to read multiple .XML files now gathered in one folder and collect them in a table in R. The files have only numeric names and are named nearly continuously (e.g 1.xml, 2.xml, 3.xml ..... up to about 40000.xml) but with a few missing numbers/files. So the code must be able to handle missing files. Can someone suggest a FOR-loop in R that could be able to read

Nested Model Forms
I''m trying to get a multi level nested form model working but have hit a problem. In one of my models, I have a habtm association and it''s throwing an error on a nested form and these are check boxes with a method of ''time_unit_ids[]''. The nested forms work without the habtm (time_unit_ids[]) so things are pretty much set up okay. Here''s the set up

Can not create model instance via params on specific model but can on others....
Anyone have an idea on this? Got a weird situation where on a specific model I can not create an instance using params, yet it works fine on other models. The model which does not work is a stock model, there is no logic in it. Ruby 1.8.7/Rails 3.0.5. Does not work: (rdb:1) PaymentTransaction.create(:purchase_id => 3) #<PaymentTransaction id: 2, purchase_id: nil, action: nil, amount: nil,

Can''t write to "Windows PowerShell" source with win32-eventlog
Hi all, Tim Uckun reported, and I''ve confirmed, that you can''t write to the Windows PowerShell event source for some reason. Tim thought it might be because of the space in the name, but my attempt to quote it did not seem to help. In order to follow along, install PowerShell, create the foo.dll using the foo.mc file in the ''test'' directory, and try the

subset() multiple arguments
This is what I would like to do and it works just fine. Is there a way to shorten this code so I don't have to subset a subset of a subset? d<-subset(subset(subset(subset(x, River.Mile<=202), River.Mile>3), Lagrangian=="Yes"), EventType=="Regular") Stephen -- Let's not spend our time and resources thinking about things that are so little or so large that

"too large for hashing"
Hello, I'm doing some analysis on a rather large data set. In this case, some simple commands are failing. For example, this one: > x$eventtype <- factor(x$eventtype) Error in unique.default(x) : length 1093574297 is too large for hashing ...I think this is a bug, because "hashing" should not be required for the "factor" function. Am I right? The whole column

linear contrasts for trends in an anova
Hi everybody, I'm trying to construct contrasts for an ANOVA to determine if there is a significant trend in the means of my groups. In the following example, based on the type of 2x3 ANOVA I'm trying to perform, does the linear polynomial contrast generated by contr.poly allow me to test for a linear trend across groups? doi=data.frame( Group=c( rep(1, 5), rep(2, 5), rep(3, 5),

Possible problems with EventLog#write
Hi, I''ve got EventLog#write and EventLog.add_event_source methods done. Well, I *think* they''re done, but I can''t get the data (text) to work properly, and I''m not sure if it''s a bug in my .mc file, the add_event_source method, the write method, or just a goof in my test file. The source, category and event id seem to be ok. However, the
